It’s crazy to even think that you could give everything you have to one person and one day, one little thing changes everything. Before you know it, everything you thought was there is suddenly gone. How a single person can show you so much about who you are and who you can be. They were supposed to be your best friend through it all. You taught me more than you should have. I have so much to thank you for. We weren’t meant to stay together like we had planned. But I do believe you came into my life to teach me what I do deserve. But this has nothing to do with me or you, or even what we used to be. We have given each other more than what we could each handle, causing us to burn out in the end.
For what it is worth, I would never take back all of the good memories and times that we had in the past. As a matter of fact, I would not trade in anything that happened to us for anything. The good, the bad. It built me as a person, and I truly realized what I deserve and when I should, as hard as it is, walk away. I am most thankful for you showing me my full potential. Without knowing, you taught me how hard it is to leave something that I had loved so much. With my head held high, I graciously left your life.

I hope, for everything I had done for you, you will find the girl you will treat right. No, secrets, or lies. I hope you will be open and truthful with everything when she comes along. I hope you find it in your heart to show her off and take her out, which you could not do for me. I hope she forgives you, and forgets your past, although I never could. I hope she is as right for you as you are for her. Maybe, this time, you will learn and remember everything you did to me, and how much it broke me.
I know, trust me I know, I am a pain in the ass. You promised me you would be able to handle me at any point in the day. But I became too much for you to even want to keep happy. You showed me that words mean nothing over actions. No matter what you told me to comfort me, you didn't abide and go through with it. The lonely nights of me wondering what I had done so wrong to you, for you to go to the next girl so quickly. I quickly realized that it was never me, always you. You made me feel as if I was not enough for you. I mean, after all, you did say you were better than me and thought you could get away with it.
Walking away from you, was the hardest thing I have ever been able to do. But it is also very much for the best. In the end, you had expected me to stand by you, so you wouldn’t feel so alone. But knowing you, you’ll be with the next girl very, very soon. I honestly, hope you don’t hurt the next girl. Learning through mistakes, maybe you truly can change. Until you do, I hope you can find yourself, and realize your true happiness, so the next girl really will become your future. I believe, with everything I have, that you have the power in you to respect the next one and treat her like a real relationship.
