In honor of the start of the New Year, I decided to take a trip down memory lane. The nostalgia is strong with this one. For every person born in the 90's, this one's for you.

1. Furbies

Furbies were actually terrifying, but for some reason we all wanted one.

2. Bop-It

The most intense game of your childhood.

3. Betty Spaghetty

Because who didn't want to completely disassemble and reassemble their doll?

4. Polly Pocket

For some reason, parents thought buying their children a toy with pieces this small was a good idea.

5. Doodle Bears

This one was for every child who couldn't draw well and wanted to dispose of the evidence when they were done.

6. Anything Nickelodeon Slime related

There are two types of people in this world: Those who wanted to be slimed as a child, and liars.

7. Moon Shoes

Because a trampoline was just too expensive.

8. Beanie Babies

The one toy that pretty much every 90's kid stocked up on because they are going to be worth *millions* some day.

9. Super Soaker

It shoots up to 50 feet!

10. Don't Break The Ice

I lied about the Bop-It. This might have been the most intense game of your childhood.

11. Mr. Potato Head

With a convenient butt flap for easy storage!

12. Lincoln Logs

Actually created in the early 1900's, Lincoln Logs made us kids feel like pioneers.

13. Don't Wake Daddy

This game taught a lesson AND gave small children a fright.

14. Sky Dancers

Pretty much every little girls dream was to either be a fairy or a princess.

15. Gooey Louie

Kids are gross and his game understood and allowed that.

16. Hit Clip's

Instead of buying an entire CD, you could listen to 30 seconds of any one of five songs.

17. Password Journal

Because every little girl had so many dark secrets to keep hidden.

18. Math Blaster!

The fun way to learn math!

Here's a link to the theme song for nostalgia purposes.

19. Scooter Boards

While I don't think anyone actually owned these, you knew gym class was going to be intense if your teacher had these out.

20. Lite-Brite

This was probably the toy that kept me entertained for the longest as a child.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
