The Top 5 Moments From Beyonce's The Formation World Tour

If you know me at all, you know that I am absolutely obsessed with Queen Bey. From Destiny’s Child, to the early stages of Beyonce’s solo career, to her newest album "Lemonade," I have always been a part of the Bey Hive. So you know when my girl Bey dropped her newest single Formation, along with a music video that supports the Black Lives Matter movement, performed at the Super Bowl, announced her Formation World Tour, and dropped her visual album "Lemonade," giving Jay-Z a piece of her mind, I had no choice but to get my best friend and I tickets to her concert. We all know Beyonce is an amazing performer with her powerful, wide range voice and one of a kind dance moves, but she has once again blown my mind with what she brought to the stage. Let’s be honest, the entire show was unforgettable, but here are five major jaw dropping moments.

1. Opening.

"Okay ladies now let's get in formation!" What better way to start of The Formation World Tour, than with "Formation" itself? Beyonce, accompanied with her dancers enter the stage in black, wide brim hats paired with intricately designed black body suits, and sheer, lace patterned stockings. The fierce outfits paired with fierce dance moves made for an epic opening of the show.

2. Throwbacks.

Beyonce hyped up the crowd by singing some of her favorite throwbacks. The joy that is felt while singing along to some of your favorite throwbacks is unexplainable, and that same joy was brought to the stadium with some Destiny Child and Beyonce classics including “Me, Myself, and I,” “Naughty Girl,” “Bootylicious,” “Survivor” and “Crazy in Love.”

3. Water on stage.

This was possibly the most epic and unforgettable moment of the show. Beyonce performed her single, “Freedom” off of her new album "Lemonade," standing in one to two inches of pool of water. Queen Bey along with her dancers performed powerful dances, kicking and splashing while incorporating the water into the choreography.

4. "Crazy in Love" mix.

Beyonce performed her famous single, “Crazy in Love” with a twist. She began with the slowed down, sensual version, which can be found on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sound track, then picked it up with the funky, dance inciting original track that we all know and love.

5. Prince tribute.

In honor of the late musical legend Prince, Beyonce serenaded the audience with one of the artists beloved tracks, “The Beautiful Ones.” Following her beautiful cover, the entire stage was lit with purple lights while Prince’s famous song, “Purple Rain” played. The entire stadium was lit with cell phone lights for a moment of love, honor and appreciation for Prince, a star that was taken too soon.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
