Ever wonder what your major might be if it were a dog breed? Well here is a broad list for almost every popular major. As told by your dog breeds, are the struggles and similarities you all have with them. All of these pups have a wide variety of different personalities, and reputations when really they just love their owners and want to live a long happy life. Also, who doesn't love puppies?
1. Communication Studies- Siberian Husky
Okay, be honest, I LOVE to talk back. I'm sure you've seen those cute videos on social media of us expressive pups. Communication majors could probably make conversation from anything and love being social butterflies. We huskies like to pluck everyone's nerves and can't wait to push the next boundary. Once you get us going there is not stopping!
2. History/ Civic Engagement/ Criminal Justice/ Government Majors- German Shepard
C'mon, you know you saw this coming. I am loyal, loving, and extremely intelligent. I'm one of the most common breeds to work with officers and one of the most well-known breeds. We have a reputation for being sweethearts but we also know when to get down to business and when it's go time. I love to play with my owners but I also love a good challenge.
3. Biology Majors- Labrador Retriever
I am so outgoing, and fast paced, try and keep up with me! Being a Biology major (or any science major) you have to be willing to keep up with new discoveries and we Labs are definitely the dog to be ready and up for any sort of activity. We will make you love us even when we chew up your shoes and make you so frustrated. But we know you'll always come back! You're going to need that as a science major.
4. Business Majors- Great Dane
Business Majors are one of the biggest majors and we are considered one of the biggest dog breeds known to man. I promise that we can be very patient, and can handle being around all ages. Being in the business world there are so many different people you will meet and there are a wide range of qualities you must possess in order to be successful. Being so big we sometimes get a lot of attention so we must know how to act properly when in a certain setting. We also have a very wide variety of multiple talents.
5. Accounting/ Math Majors- Australian Shepherd
What's that over there!? Made you look! We are probably one of the most underestimated dogs and you can see why we fit your major. I know I'm wicked smart and sometimes I'm too smart for their own good. Not only are we beautiful pups, but we love being energetic and can't wait for the next challenge. We love going new places and being around new people. All while still being loyal to our owners and sometimes outsmarting them.
6. Psychology Majors- Pitbull
Listen, I know we both get a lot of hate but I just want you to keep sticking through it. I know people tend to think it's a useless major just like they think I'm a dangerous dog but we both know those things aren't true. We are both just trying to make it in this world. We both love intellectually stimulating conversations and we are both underestimated. Once we love something, it's a forever type of love.
7. Engineering Majors- Rottweiler
I am a very bold and straight forward kind of pup. I'm very protective yet extremely smart when it comes to breaking out of my cages or getting over fences. I know some people view me as scary and some people underestimate my strength but just like your major, sometimes people think everyone can have me or everyone can do it. It takes a certain type of person to love me and a certain type of person to complete your major. Kudo's to you!
8. Foreign Language- Golden Retriever
I am one of the most well-known breeds and I think being a foreign language major you all need to receive as much love as I do. You all don't get enough credit for just how much you all have to learn and be able to retain. We love learning new tricks and you kind of need that quality to be a foriegn language major. You all should receive universal love because it takes a lot of grit to be in that field.
