1. 3rd Annual Fall Festival at Dyckman Farmhouse Museum.

Families and friends are welcomed to join the 3rd Annual Fall Festival include face painting, puppet making, cider pressing, live jazz and a tasting with Dyckman Beer. It will be happening on Saturday, October 3rd from 11:00am- 5:00pm. All ages can participate in fun and educational activities to celebrate the harvest season!

2. The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor.

Wander along the main street Pumpkin Promenade and stroll across the new Pumpkin Zee Bridge to see seven thousand individually hard-carved, illuminated jack o’ lanterns in this elaborate walk-through experience. 3. BIG Apple Crunch in NYC.

This year, Farmon! Foundation is setting a goal to ask New Yorkers all across the state to take a bite out of a New York apple to raise awareness about the importance of supporting our local New York farmers, creating better access to fresh fruits and vegetables, and making it more affordable to eat fresh, local food for our health and the environment. The main event will be held at Union Square Greenmarket at 12:00pm on October 20th. They host several BIG Apple Crunch events across all five boroughs. 4. Applewood Orchards & Winery at Warwick, NY.

In 1960's, “Apple Dave” opened his orchard where pumpkin and apple picking could be done. Stroll through the herb and rose gardens and down to one of their ponds surrounded by wildlife. 5. Blood Manor in NYC.

Blood Manor is Haunted House Attraction that has approximately 5,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors and a labyrinth of passageways to maximize one’s fears. This Haunted House is designed to be the most intense, creepy and “scream-inducing” attraction in the New York Tri-state area. They do not recommend bringing children under the age of 14 years old. 6. Queens County Farm Museum in NYC.

The Amazing Maize Maze will happen on the weekends, during the month of October. Kids and adults can have a blast finding their way out of this 3-acre corn maze. The adventure begins with challenges to find clues, solve puzzles and make your way out of the maze. 7. Ghosts of New York Walking Tours at NYC.

Amanda Anderson is a licensed tour guide, who walks around Brooklyn and Manhattan with participates. 8. Breakneck Ridge at Hudson Valley.

Escape the noise of New York City to see beautiful scenic views of mountains and lakes. It involves steep climbs over rock ledges that can be very slippery when wet. The trail starts at the southern end of the park area and reaches to a junction with a yellow-blazed Wilkinson Memorial Trail, which proceeds downhill along a woods road to bring hikers back to the parking area. For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything.
