Drake, Drizzy, Champagne Papi or whatever you may refer to the rapper Aubrey Drake Graham as, you are well aware of his music. Drake is one of the top performing artists of our decade and is an icon to many. His lyrics resinate with literally every one of his fans and he has created terms like Y.O.L.O that have become common in conversations. So, no wonder why the multi award winning rapper has lyrics that are all too real for us.

Number One: “Y.O.L.O” from “The Motto” by Drake featuring Lil Wayne

This acronym that not only took the music world by storm, it became a common word used in everyday language. “Y.O.L.O” which stands for “You Only Live Once” according to Drake himself, the acronym was used by everyone from every age. Kids were saying it after doing anything and it in ways was actually empowering, inspiring anyone to do what they want because its true you really do only live once…So, “Y.O.L.O.”

Number Two: “Crew Love” by Drake Featuring The Weeknd

“Crew Love” by Drake featuring The Weeknd may be one of the best Drake songs ever, but that’s just my personal opinion. The song features Abel Tesfaye, or better known as The Weeknd, whose smooth voice sings through out the track and Drake states another empowering lyric that many of his fans quote on the daily “I think I like who I’m becoming.” The lyric resonates with fans to block out any hate, be true to themselves and like who they are growing into.

Number Three: “Right Hand” By Drake

Right Hand, one of four singles that were released last year, makes every girl swoon. Drake speaks highly of a girl stating she is his “Right Hand” (Drake), but its this verse that fans find to relate to when they are in a relationship the most, “You my right hand, You my go to, told me everything about you, that’s a bold move. I know that your out here and there’s things you gotta go through.” The song also continues to state “Dream big and sleep late, you got a lot on your plate, that’s why ya always workin’ out, taking pictures of yourself, you don’t see anyone else in your life.” And honestly name one college student who wouldn’t agree that we all dream big, have terrible sleep patterns and we constantly take selfies at the gym.

Number Four: “Energy” by Drake

Do you ever invite friends over and the first thing they ask is “What’s the code to your Wifi?” Well, this problem apparently affects Drake too. In his song “Energy” from the album “If Your Reading This Its Too Late,” Drake’s one verse perfectly sums up how we all feel: “Askin’ me about the code for the Wifi, so they can talk about their timeline and show me pictures of their friends, just to they can tell me they ain’t really friends,” which honestly is what people do when they come over to anyone’s dorm. Another Great lyric in the song that helps shake the haters off is “I got enemies, got a lot of enemies, got a lot of people tryin’ do drain me of my energy.” The verse expresses something everyone goes through, the feeling of negative people in our lives that try to ruin our day, something we can all relate to.

Number Five: “No Lie” by 2 Chainz featuring Drake

“Oh, that look like what’s her name, chances are that is what’s her name.” Honestly, everyone forgets people’s names and we have all said this same exact statement at one point… It’s too real.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
