My Top 15 Christmas Movies To Watch

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Since I already wrote an article about my favorite Halloween movies to watch, I thought it would be a good idea to write about my favorite Christmas movies too. I mean, there are lots of Christmas movies to watch during this time of the year. There are a lot of Christmas movies that I’ve watched since I was a kid, especially Disney Christmas movies. Here are my top fifteen Christmas movies to watch.

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Based on one of Dr. Seuss’s books, you can watch the animated version and/or the Jim Carrey version. I’ve always loved both because they were a part of my childhood.

2. The Santa Clause trilogy

I loved The Santa Clause movies because, as a 90s kid, I remember watching the first movie with my parents; it’s also because I thought it was interesting to see a man becoming Santa Claus.

3. Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year

For people who love Disney and the Winnie the Pooh characters, they should watch this movie.

4. Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas and Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas

The classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the others have their own Christmas stories to tell. I love both of these movies, and I watch them every year.

5. A Year Without a Santa Claus

I recommend this movie for two reasons. One, just imagine what it would actually look like one Christmas year without a Santa Claus. Two, the Miser Brothers make me laugh whenever I watch this movie. Did you know the Miser Brothers have their own movie? Well, they do. Check out the spinoff of this movie, The Miser Brothers Christmas.

6. Frosty the Snowman

Who loves to build a snowman after the first snowfall? I love this movie because he’s my favorite snowman character, every since I was a kid. Also, check out the sequel movies of Frosty the Snowman, Frosty Returns and Frosty’s Winter Wonderland.

7. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

I picked this movie, not only because of the song, but he’s one of my favorite Christmas characters. He also had several sequels (or spinoffs) like Rudolph’s Shiny New Year and along with Frosty in Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July. In addition, there’s another movie starring Rudolph in Rudolph and the Island of the Misfit Toys.

8. Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Picturing what his life was like before he was Santa Claus is really interesting to see.

9. The Polar Express

Going on a journey to the North Pole by train is an awesome adventure to watch.

10. Shrek the Halls

If you love the Shrek movies, you should watch the Christmas special featuring Shrek himself.

11. The Nightmare Before Christmas

I know some of you guys will think I’m crazy for adding this movie to this list since I already had this movie on my Halloween movies list. But, the reason is, it's wonderful all year around.

12. It's A Wonderful Life

Well, I put this movie on the list because it’s a classic. Also, I still watch this movie with my parents today.

13. The Bears Who Saved Christmas

I just watched this movie with my boyfriend, and I love it, because I mean, who wouldn't love to watch a movie about teddy bears.

14. Nick and Noel

This is one of my favorite Christmas movies since I was a kid. If you haven't heard of it, it’s about a dog and a cat who dislike each other, on a quest to deliver a letter to Santa Claus.

15. Casper's Haunting Christmas

Okay, ghosts can celebrate Christmas too. I've loved this movie since I was a kid.

Those are my top Christmas movies to watch. I would add more to the list, but then it would go on forever. But, do watch these movies and enjoy the holiday season.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
