In the past couple of years, beauty boxes have grown in popularity. I mean what woman wouldn’t want a surprise of beauty samples sent to her home each month? While there’s tons of different boxes in the business, here’s a few I consider the best (and also the most inexpensive):

Birchbox is my personal favorite and one of the original beauty boxes. For $10 a month, you get five personalized samples. Products include high-end brands, popular items, and also new upcoming brands you probably have never heard of but end up obsessing over. Birchbox also allows you to choose one of your five monthly samples, so you’re guaranteed one fabulous find. I have found so many great new brands and products from this box. Their website also allows you to earn points for reviewing your monthly products, which you can use in return to buy full-sized products off their website. Love, love, love!

Pro: Most samples are a good size, allowing multiple uses.
Con: I honestly cannot think of one.


Ispy

Very popular and similar to BirchBox, Ipsy is a trending beauty bag that will be sure to help you discover some great products! It's $10 a month, five samples and personalized towards your favorite kinds of products. Brands featured can include Tarte, Smashbox, Buxom, Too Faced, and many more products ranging from high-end to drugstore. Nonetheless, your products will be varied and worth the money. Ipsy is a great beauty box to try, especially if you’re new to the beauty box world.

Pro: You get a super cute makeup bag that’s different each month.
Con: Sometimes you get lesser desired drugstore products.

If you’re lucky enough to get off the waitlist for this beauty box, you will not regret the wait. This new hot box gives you five deluxe sized samples with a fun, collectible bag each month. In addition to the hand picked products, the box includes make-up tips, tricks, tutorials and a fragrance sample. Also included is a PLAY! PASS, which you can redeem in store for a free one-on-one tutorial with a make-up consultant. This box certainly does not disappoint!

Pro: All the additional benefits and goodies included in your monthly bag.
Con: Your samples aren’t personalized towards specifically you.
