1. Bristol House of Pizza

On State Street in Bristol, this family owned pizza restaurant will soon become your favorite. Pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, chicken wings, french fries and more all for an affordable price. I can tell you from personal experience that their mozzarella sticks are 10/10. As an added bonus, they deliver on and off campus!

2. Nacho Mamma's

Nacho Mamma's is a relatively new, family friendly Mexican restaurant just up the street from Bristol House of Pizza. It's a little pricier than Bristol House of Pizza, but the portions are large enough that you can easily split meals between friends. If you're too lazy to walk all the way to Commons for dinner, they deliver to campus, too.

3. Riccotti's Sandwich Shop

Okay, so they don't deliver here, but I promise it's worth the ride (and it's right off the RIPTA route, too, so it isn't too hard to get there). If you're looking for a nice sub, or a party sandwich platter, or some really good french fries, this is the place to go. This can get a little pricey if everyone in your party gets their own meals, but it's much cheaper (and easier) to split the subs. All in all, a quality choice for an afternoon out in Bristol.

4. Bristol Bagel Works

Right on Hope Street in downtown Bristol, the Bagel Shop (as it's known to locals) is the best place for breakfast foods. All of the bagels, pastries and cream cheeses are made fresh daily in the back of the store. If you're ever out and about and it's too early for lunch but you're still hungry, this is a solid choice. It may be a bit more expensive than Dunkin Donuts (nickels and dimes more, really) but the quality is worth it.

5. Quito's Restaurant & Bar

If seafood is your thing, Quito's is open in the warmer seasons. It's right on the water, and always promises fresh seafood. But get it while you can, because they close for the season on October 30!

6. Papa Joe's Wrap Shack

The Wrap Shack is an absolute necessity for you NYC people who miss your thin crust pizzas. They've got a killer selection on specialty wraps and a build your own burger menu, too. Two people can easily eat for about $10 from Wrap Shack, and they deliver on campus, too.

7. Lucky Garden Chinese Restaurant

If you're like me, and you need some good Chinese food while you're studying for midterms or crying about the latest tragedy on Grey's Anatomy, Lucky Garden is really the best choice. With affordable prices and free delivery to campus, you should really just put Lucky Garden on your speed dial.

8. Zelia's Diner

This place doesn't deliver, either, but they can't deliver that small town diner feel, am I right? If you're looking to replicate that feeling of nostalgia you can only get with a good cup of coffee and a cheap plate of bacon and eggs, look no further. Zelia's is right off the RIPTA route in a plaza on the corner of Hope St. and Gooding Ave. It is a cash only establishment, but the bottomless coffee, breakfast until 2 in the afternoon, homemade milkshakes and friendly wait staff make it all worth it.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
