It's that time of year again! The new year is coming up and everyone thinks of the SAME THINGS TO DO for the new year and it is getting boring! I mean some of them are boring, some would make our lives easier, and some are things we would never expect to happen! Some of these were on my New Years resolution list and I checked them off, told myself they were never happening, and so on and so forth! Which resolutions am I talking about? Well I can't do the boring list without a twist! That's why I asked a hunky man to help me tell you the 8 resolutions that everyone does every single year once the ball drops.
1. Start a workout regiment with a friend!
The conversation usually starts with "Gosh I need to lose weight! Let me get a gym membership!" The answer is a big, fat NO! Do not spend money on a gym membership that you probably won't even use after the first two weeks of the year (if it even lasts that long!) Why not just go on YouTube, look at workout regiments to do at home, and stay in the comfort of your home with no need to spend extra money unless its on a new wardrobe from losing weight!
2. Find your support group!
This is very important! If you realized by midnight of this year that you are not happy with the friends around you, you cannot depend on anyone, and you feel alone - FIND A NEW SUPPORT GROUP! You think you found the right one now that is the wrong one for you, just imagine how it would feel to find the right support group that will push you to be better than you were before.
3. Face your goals and fear with confidence!
We all want to dream big and sometimes that scares us which means it's a BIG enough dreams to crush! They always say if your dreams don't scare you then they aren't big enough! So grab your Pegasus, fly through the skys, sing a world known song, and make this year even better than last years!
4. Learn to control your temper!
Breathe in...Breathe out...Don't smack that person in the face. Yes, we want to just claw them in the face or create a revenge plot to get back them for whatever they did. Did I mention all this built up anger will cause break outs and you to stress eat that will cause you to gain unnecessary weight? Yeah I though so...Maybe getting that gym membership won't be so bad.
5. Find love where you least expect it.
Oh love...The one thing people want sometimes more than anything in this world. That's why letting love find YOU is the better than you trying to really find it. It's also okay to find love on an app, online website, maybe give someone who has show interest in you a chance. Don't go running towards the first love interest unless you really know that this for yourself and works well for BOTH of you.
6. Walk away from the craziness if you can...
Yeah, this is one of those things we hope to stay away from, but it follows us EVERYWHERE! From crazy people on the news to crazy friends who cannot get their lives together. Be like Phil and just say 'oy, vay' or maybe a prayer...or maybe you just face it head on in hopes that you will win the battle without a headache.
7. Sleep more, stress less!
Remember how as kids our parents had set nap times for us whether we fought through it or not? Yeah DO THAT MORE! They say you only need 15 minutes to feel rejuvenated after what seems like getting no sleep to enough sleep! You didn't get sleep the night before? Maybe a 30 minute nap will fix you right up! Feeling stressed and not so happy? Cancel plans for nap time!
8. Find where you belong!
You did not find your group like you wanted to? Well you will and it just takes time and you not searching for it! Yes you have to let things just happen and see if you find them-you will click like it was meant to be and they will feel the same way! You belong somewhere and sometimes that group is hard to find because it has not been created yet since those people do not know it either!
Do you see what I see? Most new years resolutions are dropped because they are being forced so much that you do not want it anymore. This year I want to give you the best advice possible. Stop pushing so hard and getting impatient. Things will come in time and you just need to know that it will eventually happen for you! Find that workout regiment you like because your neighbor told you about it. Bump into love and see it blossom so much more than you had hope. Believe in yourself so you can FLY higher than you could have seen yourself go!
