Being a brand new college freshman, I would like to say the journey is very interesting. Fun, new, exciting, and...interesting. What I learned from my two days here so far (yeah I know I'm so experienced right?) is that your college experience will be exactly how you make it out to be. If you want to seclude yourself to your dorm all the time and not socialize your experience will be lonely. If you want to get yourself out there by being optimistic and voicing your opinions on things and breaking out of your comfort zone, your experience will be one you most likely will never forget. Now, without further ado, here are the type 5 TRUE things all college freshman should know when they make their way to the beginning of the real world.
1. Your dinner 4 out of the 7 days of the week will most likely be McDonalds or amazingly stale Ramen.
Hey, at least you can ice cream and watch Netflix in your dorm whenever you want.
2. You can't have the bathroom all to yourself whenever you want.
I know, I know, you decided to have Taco Bell and...yeah that's pretty much it you decided to have Taco Bell. Can't help ya there, especially when you have four other roommates. Patience is a virtue my friend.
3. You are going to love some of your classes and you're going to wish you dropped that Calculus class first semester.
C'mon, push through! I know you can do it!
4. Your dorm room may also be your entire floor's dorm room some nights.
I'm telling you...great way to make friends. Just be smart.
5. And lastly...you will get through it.
Point 5, speaks for itself.
