With the holidays just behind us, everyone has gift cards that they are ready to spend. Sephora gift cards are an exciting present to receive. The only problem is that you have so many options. What do you spend your money on? Well, here is a list of things that are worth picking up.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye-shadow Palette

This palette has 14 beautiful pinky orange shades. You can create so many amazing looks with this palette. It blew up onYoutube when it first came out, it is just now available in stores. If you see it on the shelf you need to run fast and pick it up before it goes missing again. These eye shadows are so creamy and buttery. They are so pigmented and blend out beautifully. This palette is $42.00 at Sephora and it is so worth it.

2. Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick

These matte liquid lipsticks are amazing. They are matte without being dry and crackly or settling into the fine lines on your lips. The applicator makes it so easy to line your lips and keep everything looking on point. My favorite shade is Babe Alert it is a beautiful pink nude. Not only is this formula great but the packaging is so pretty and a gorgeous glass bottle. There are 20 shades in this range and they are $24.00 a piece.

3. Tarteist Pro Glow Highlighter Palette

This palette contains 4 highlighting powders, a cream contour, and a powder contour. The shades inside are so beautiful. The highlights are very golden toned but they show up so pretty on the skin. It is geared more towards medium skin tones. Light skin will only be able to use the first two shades. They are also extremely bright, they are not a glow from within powder. The packaging on this is stunning and so durable and travel friendly. This palette is $45.00 and if that is too much they have a to-go version that is only $23.00 and it has 2 highlighter shades and one cream contour.

4. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

This is the best mascara I have ever tried. It adds volume and length at the same time. The brush is a little intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it you will fall in love. They have a normal and waterproof version. This will make you look like you have falsies on every day of the week. The full sized version is $23.00 and the travel size is $12.00. The travel size is a good way to test out the mascara, this also allows you to have more money on your gift card.

5. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed in the shade Champagne Pop

This is the best golden highlight on the market hands down. It gives you the most bright glow. The powder is also so smooth and buttery. This color is in all the products in the shimmering skin perfecter line. Jaclyn Hill created this highlight with Becca and it was a hit. It was sold out for weeks now that the hype has calmed down you need to get your hands on it. This highlight is $38.00 which is a little pricey but you will not be sorry.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
