Top 5 Music Collaborations You Have To Hear
headlineplanet.com

OK so everyone loves music collaborations because, I mean, who doesn't. This week I have picked five of my absolute favorite collaborations. They are just any one certain genre. You guys may notice I write a lot about country music. That's because it is the genre I feel like I know the most. But these collaborations will range anywhere from being super new like it was released today or a few years ago. But please check out each and every one of the them. Give them a chance even if you see an artist you don't usually listen too. These are all amazing artists. I hope you love them as much as I do. They are in no particular order but I will say this: the collaboration that is listed as number one is actually my number one collaboration.

1. "I Know What You Did Last Summer" - Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello

"I Know What You Did Last Summer" by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello just came out November 18th. Everyone had been waiting to hear this for quite some while. There was so much hype around this I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the expectations. I will be honest and say I'm not the biggest fan of Fifth Harmony but Camila did an absolute amazing job on the song with Shawn. This came out and it went way above and beyond my expectation. I absolutely love this song and can't get enough of it, like it's on repeat. Shawn and Camila did a fantastic job on the songwriting and music on this song it has to be my absolute favorite collaboration at this time. I just can't express how much I love this collaboration. It has a different sound that I haven't really heard before which is why I love it so much. Take and check it out and if you love it go get it on iTunes. I promise you will love it!

2. "Where It All Begins" - Hunter Hayes (Feat. Lady Antebellum)

"Where It All Begins" is also a fairly new song. It's been around since the Wheels Up Tour. I love this song and how much you can relate to the lyrics. Hunter Hayes and Lady Antebellum did an amazing job on this collaboration. I believe it is one of the fans favorites from Hunter. I know it is my favorite collaboration from him. Check it out and if you like it go get the single on iTunes or purchase Hunters new CD, "The 21 Project," from a store near you.

3. "Cheat Codes" - Jack & Jack (Feat. Emblem3)

"Cheat Codes" is a collaboration that I have only just stumbled upon. I love this collaboration. It meshes together so well. It sounds like they are writing from a personal experience, which many song are written from. But having a song written from a person experience makes that song so much more relatable to people. It also gives it a lot more meaning. Which makes it another one of my favorite. So check it out and if you like it you can go grab the single on iTunes.

4. "Before The Storm" - Jonas Brothers (Feat. Miley Cyrus)

"Before The Storm" is an old duet between the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. It may be an old one but it will always be in my top five favorite collaborations. This is one of those songs and collaborations that you always go to when your feeling down or upset because you feel like you relate to it. I loved this song when it came out and I still love it because again it can be so relatable to people. Go check it out and if you love as much as I do go get the single on iTunes.

5. "Something Bad" - Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood

"Something Bad" by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood is just a good old bad ass country song. This was a huge collaboration to come out in the country music scene. They are the two biggest female powerhouses in country music. We all knew it was going to be a bad ass collaboration. When everyone first heard it, we were all blown away. It was song that hit the top of the charts that we all know and love. These women gave friendship a new name. Make sure you check it out and if you love as much as I do go get the single on iTunes.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
