I don't know about you, but my boyfriend and I are avid movie theatre attendees. We love the big screen, the nachos and the fancy reclining chairs. So here is a list of the top five movies we plan on watching in 2016.
1. Deadpool (In theaters) – Ryan Reynolds plays Wade Wilson a former Special Forces operative who went rogue and now works as a mercenary. When evil scientist Ajax tortures him and turns him into Deadpool, Wilson developes healing powers and a sadistic humor. When he teams up with allies Colossus and Negasonic the Teenage Warhead, his aim is to hunt down Ajax and make him pay for what he did.
2.Gods of Egypt (February 26) The survival of mankind lies in the hands of a mortal, Bek (Brenton Thawaites) who must save the world and his true love. In order to succeed he has to solicit the help of Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), a powerful God, in an alliance against the God of darkness Set (Gerard Butler ). Set has seized Egypt’s throne, plunging the once serene empire into chaos and conflict. Beck and Horus’ voyage takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both must remain hopeful if they hop to succeed in the battle against good and evil.
3. Batman VS Superman (March 25, 2016) – The greatest superheroes in the world face off in this epic film.
4. X-Men Apocalypse (May 2016) - Since the dawn of civilization, Apocalypse was worshipped as a god. He was the first mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe who had the powers of many other mutants. Thus he became immortal and invincible. After a thousand of years he wakes up and is unhappy with the world. He recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a crestfallen Magneto (Michael Fassbender) in order to cleanse mankind and reign. Thus Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of newly recruited X-men in saving the world.
5. The Jungle Book (April 15) – A live action take on Disney’s Jungle Bool. Mogli finds himself unwelcome in the jungle when Sher Khan promises to eliminate him. Urged to leave the only home he has ever known Mogli sets out on a voyage of self discovery in which he must learn who is a friend and who is a foe.
