I just want to let y'all know how important music is in life and to many people around the world. With that being said, I want to share with you the top five Lana Del Rey songs - or at least the top 10 in my opinion. Lana's music has always kept me happy and has always put me in a better mood when I'm feeling a little down. It's the kind of music that I just love scream-singing along to in the car, and there's never a bad time to listen to her. Never ever, ever.

5. "Love"

Lana's fifth album was different in so many ways. For one, she was smiling on the cover art, which is so unlike the past four albums she'd put out. Not that there's anything wrong with smiling, but it was definitely something different about it. "Love" is one of those songs that you just want to lay back and imagine a perfect life with a perfect husband. For me, it just makes me think of a simple life with simple feelings and simple people. And that's enough to bring me back down and make me smile again.

4. "High By The Beach"

I don't know about you, but this song just makes me want to raise my middle fingers up to everyone who has ever annoyed me. It's a nice little song to play with your windows down; play it in March as the weather turns to spring, and you're breaking out your shorts for the first time in a few months. In a way, it makes me want summer - but that's just because she talks about the beach.

3. "National Anthem"

"National Anthem" is a song that makes me feel powerful; it makes me feel like a woman that doesn't need a man and, honestly, doesn't need much of anything. Rather, I feel like a prize (in a good way) and people have to work really hard to receive the amazing person that I am. Maybe it's the lyrics, maybe it's the music, or maybe it's the way she just hits all those different pitches - no matter what it is, it's fantastic.

2. "Brooklyn Baby"

I'm going to assume that this song isn't as widely known, but you should definitely get to know it. This song has always been a jam for me because it's such a fun and simple story it tells. It takes me back, with lyrics about the 60s and bands, and other memorable things from back in the day. Lana has a knack for embodying the past with her music lyrically, and it's so amazing how she can paint such stories.

1. "Born To Die"

I can never get enough of this song. It's so slow and solemn, but yet it pumps me up. It's a song about doing what you want and being who you are because, in essence, we were born to die and we'll eventually reach that point. So why not have fun while you're on the way?

I guess that's enough Lana for the day (but who am I kidding, Lana Del Rey is truly a goddess among us). If you're a Lana fan, feel free to share all of your favorites, too, down in the comments. I love learning more about Lana from other people almost as much as a love The Queen Lana, herself.

Music is a gift to the world from the universe. People create all different kinds every day, and it affects everyone in different ways. Music helps me to connect to people in ways I couldn't connect mentally, which is amazing because we never realize how powerful music is until we're seeing it. I love my music - from Lana Del Rey to Selena Gomez.

Can you ever go wrong with music? The answer is no.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
