The Top 3 Fictional Worlds That I'd Want to Live In

There are way too many to choose from, but I've narrowed it down.

The Top 3 Fictional Worlds That I'd Want to Live In

For as long as I could remember, I have been infatuated with the idea of living in a world that wasn’t this one. No, I don’t mean living on Mars. I’m referring to any fictional world that I have come to know in my lifetime. It would be so cool to become a part of that world and do the things that the citizens of that world did on a day-to-day basis. But with all the fictional worlds that have been created, there are bound to be ones that are better than others. Now that I've figured out which ones I don't want to be a part of, which ones remain?

1. "Pokemon."

This is the number-one thing I’ve wanted all my life. I’ve dreamt of the "Pokemon" world being real since before I knew what dreaming was. I’ve gone on plenty of adventures through the games of the franchise, but I want to do that in reality. I want to pick my starter and go on a quest to be the very best. And if this were indeed my reality, no longer would I have to dream of Nintendo making a game with all of the regions of "Pokemon" in it, because they would all be there.

2. "Tsubasa Chronicles."

For those who have seen this anime or read the manga, they know exactly why I put this on the list. One of the really amazing concepts of this anime/manga is that the main characters get to embark on multi-dimensional travel. Any world that could be conceived could be found in this larger-than-life universe that was created through the show. While travelers don’t get to pick their destination per se, the idea of going on an adventure through dimensional travel sounds extremely appealing.

3. "Avatar: The Last Airbender"/"The Legend of Korra."

When I started watching "Avatar" on Nickelodeon several years ago, I had no idea how massive the world that it was placed in was. All I knew was that I wanted to go there. I wanted to be what were referred to as “benders,” which were people who could wield one of the four elements. (Unless you were the Avatar -- then you got all of them.) While it wouldn’t be a guarantee for me to be a bender by living in this world, just being a part of the world would be enough. I’d be totally fine with being the Sokka of a group, traveling with a group of benders around the world in pursuit of adventure.

There are obviously many, many more worlds that I could have chosen from, but these three are it for me. What about you? If you had the choice to live in any fictional world, which would you choose?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
