fall

Well the time is finally here!! Summer has ended, school has started, the days are getting shorter and nights are getting colder. ITS AUTUMN- GET HYPE. With this new season comes a whole new world of activities to do. Here are some ideas to get you out, about, and fall-ing for the most wonderful time of the year.

1. Pumpkin patch/ pumpkin carving.

This is the moment to grab the fam, take your special someone out, or round up the girls to take a trip...but the fun doesn't end there. After the patch, you can fetch your best carving utensils and go to work on that dear old pumpkin of yours. Have fun with it.

2. Corn maze.

These are the best on the warmer nights of fall, and if you're really lucky the stars are absolutely beautiful. Don't underestimate the fact that you're physically lost in a corn maze, it can still be really romantic.....or funny if one of your companions chooses to scare you.

3. Halloween movie marathon

Grab tons of blankets, apple cider and brown sugar cinnamon donuts from your favorite orchard. Get ready to get scared, get ready to laugh so much your stomach hurts, and get ready to make some unforgettable memories (in a killer blanket fort).

4. football. Football. FOOTBALL.

High School, College, Professional, Backyard. There are so many options to be surrounded by football this fall. Get a group together to watch the game, go to your favorite rivalry, and don't be afraid to go all out. Trust me, the pictures will be priceless.

5. Fall photoshoot.

These times make so many memories. The leaves are changing so the colors make every skin tone, hair color, and outfit shine. It doesn't take long, and you don't need a huge professional camera. Enjoy the weather, and get some coffee or tea while you're out and about. Treat yo' self.

6. Hayride.

Whether it is a haunted hayride, or just a fun ride through the fields/woods. The trip is so nice, and its so comforting to hear the stories and memories of other people while you're stuck on bundles of hay with them for hours :-). Tip: if you're going on a haunted hayride, don't go alone.

7. Halloween Party

Who says young adults are too old to dress up for halloween? Get a cute couples costume, squad up with your bros and make an appearance.

8. Update your wardrobe.

This is a great time to splurge, on cardigans, on boots, and on scarves. A girl can never have enough. (and boys, you can splurge too...every man needs his signature fall style)

9. DIY Crafts

Pinterest it up. There are so many ideas that need to be conquered like wreaths, and treats, pillows, and so so much more. Have a crafting day!!

10. Just enjoy life.

Last but not least, enjoy the time you have with the people that surround you. Do the little things that you know will make the biggest of differences and the best of memories. You can simply make someone's favorite food and watch their favorite movie and make their entire week. Breathe deep and know that you're loved.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
