When it comes to being a 90s baby, you know at the mention of the group, "Spice Girls", the current generation of young children would look at you with five heads and ask, "Who are they?" Some of the popular music of twenty years ago is now considered old and uninteresting to kiddies today. We 90's babies appreciated the music we had. It kept us active and it was a genre we could all relate and jam out to. I remember being outside all day after school. My mom would let me go play outside with my friends until the sun went down. We didn't have all the social technology we do now. The music we had in the 90s is heard less now that we have superstars like Justin Beiber, One Direction, Taylor Swift and Lorde. Our society is changing and evolving into something different than what it was back then. There are a lot of pop songs that every 90s kid should remember from our childhood. I have my top 10 listed for you:
- Barbie Girl- Aqua "I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world..."
- Spice Girls-Wannabe "If you wannabe my lover, you gotta get with my friends."
- Bell Biv Devoe-Poison "That girl is poison."
- Los Del Rio-Macarena "Heeeeeyyy macarena.....woah!"
- TLC-No Scrubs "I don't want no scrubs, scrubs is a guy that can't get no love from me..."
- MC Hammer-Can’t Touch This "Can't touch this...can't touch this..."
- Cher-Believe "Do you believe in life after love, I can feel something inside me say
I really don't think you're strong enough." - Brittany Spears-Baby Hit Me One More Time "My loneliness is killing me (and I), I must confess, I still believe (still believe), When I'm not with you I lose my mind, Give me a sign, Hit me, baby, one more time."
- Backstreet Boys-I Want It That Way "Ain't nothin' but a mistake, Tell me why, I never want to hear you say, I want it that way."
- Boys II Men-End Of The Road "Although we've come, To the end of the road, Still I can't let go, It's unnatural, You belong to me, I belong to you."
Do you know any or all of these songs from the 90s? These songs remind me of the happy memories of my childhood. Once a 90's baby always a 90's music lover.
