As you know, summer is slowly coming to an end, and for many that is a sad time. Most of us will be heading back to college and will be starting high school. If you're in the Indianapolis area, here are 10 things to do before school starts:

1. Indianapolis Zoo

On a cool day, enjoy a day at the zoo and visit all the exhibits.

2. Indianapolis Children's Museum

Take your children to the best museum in the Midwest. They will have fun and also have a great learning experience.

3. Indianapolis State Museum

If you are a history fanatic, then this is the place for you. Let's take a trip back through time.

4. Downtown Center Mall

The mall is filled with great stores and deals. It is located right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of downtown.

5. Splash Island (Plainfield)

Cool off on a hot day and enjoy the water park.

6. Farmer's Market – Downtown Indianapolis

If you like fresh food, then the farmer's market is for you.

7. Canal Walking – Downtown Indianapolis

Enjoy a day with the family and take a walk downtown on the beautiful canal.

8. Jazz concerts on the Canal – Downtown Indianapolis

Take a day off from work and enjoy the relaxing sounds of smooth jazz.

9. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum

The speedway is home to the Indy 500. Seeing the track would bring joy to all race fans.
