Top 10 Moments From The 2015 AMAs

The 2015 American Music Awards were held on Sunday November 22nd, featuring a star-studded performance list and superior first-time hosting skills by the one and only Jennifer Lopez. Aside from some killer outfits on the red carpet, there were also several amazing performances and random unplanned moments that occurred over the course of the night. Here's a list of the best moments from the 2015 AMAs.

1. J-Lo's opening performance.

Jenny from the Block took hosting the AMAs to a whole new level when she started off her performance with one of her own songs, but then suddenly told the crowd "WAIT!"

Lopez stated how the night wasn't about her, but about the music, and then began an epic dance-infused medley of the year's most popular songs.

2. Carrie Underwood's dress.

Carrie Underwood in general. Need I say more?

3. Frankie Grande's dancing.

Ariana Grande's older brother, who appeared on Big Brother 17, danced like no one was watching in the front row at the AMAs.

4. Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor's post-performance makeout sesh.

After a mid-show collaboration performance, Puth and Trainor took the lyrics "let's Marvin Gaye and get it on" straight to heart. To everyone's surprise, the singers started sucking face right when the song ended. The two are denying dating rumors, but I ship them SO hard--especially after this.

5. Selena Gomez's "Same Old Love" performance.

The former Disney star looked stunning as she put on a mesmerizing performance of her new hit single. She looked and sounded better than ever - maybe because she is rumored to be back together with JB?! Just a thought.

6. Sam Hunt winning "New Artist of the Year."

Although I was pulling for Walk the Moon in this category, if anyone else were to win, I wanted it to be Hunt. "We'll have a house party, we don't need nobody, turn your TV off, break that boom-box out"...except no one wanted to turn their TV off because the show got about 20 times hotter when he stepped up to make his speech.

7. Celine Dion's tribute to Paris.

In light of the recent terrorist attacks on the beautiful city of Paris, the iconic Celine Dion sang "L'hymne à L'amour" in a somber, heartfelt moment at the AMAs. It was absolutely beautiful, and they couldn't possibly have picked anyone better to do it

8. Walk the Moon's performance of "Shut Up and Dance."

Alright, maybe this is just because I'm a huge fan, but Nicholas Petricca and his gang seriously killed it on that stage. So underrated it makes me want to cry.

9. Ariana Grande's Nonna.

The pop star's date to the AMAs got a special shout out when Ariana went up to accept her award for "Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist." The look of pride on her face when Ariana won the AMA was one of the most heartwarming parts of the night.

10. JB's closing performance.

Bieber put on quite the finale when he sang segments of "What Do You Mean?", "Where Are U Now", and "Sorry" one after another. As the 21 year-old sang on the stage in the rain, he simultaneously proved that he's making the comeback of his life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
