Makeup is such a fun way to enhance the natural contours and highlights of your face. It's also a great way to make your eyes and lips pop!
We all know CVS and Rite Aid have plenty of drugstore brands of makeup that are affordable and get the job done. However, every once in a while, it's nice to splurge on some high street, super-pigmented makeup.
Here are 10 high street make up products to consider having in your bag!
1.Make Up Forever HD Foundation and Full Cover Concealer
Make Up Forever is like the holy grail of makeup. With both products being so highly pigmented, you don't need a ton to get full coverage. The duo together gives your face a dewy and smooth look. 2. Nars Laguna Bronzer
Bronzer is such a difficult product to find. You don't want a bronzer that's too red for your face, but you also don't want one that is too light for your face either. From what I've seen, the darker the bronzer gets, the redder it gets as well. Nars Laguna Bronzer is the perfect bronzer if you're looking for a bronzer that isn't too red. It's one of my favorite products in my make up bag.
3. Nars Orgasm Blush
Another product by Nars. The Orgasm blush is basically the blush of makeup. It's the perfect shade of pink and has little gold pigments in it that act as the perfect highlight for your cheekbones, while giving amazing color to your face.
Laguna Bronzer and Orgasm Blush go perfectly together. You can buy the two separately or you can purchase a smaller duo pack with both the bronzer and blush in it. Both are great options and the duo is less expensive than buying the products separately, so if you're unsure if you'll like them, the duo is an awesome way to find out!
Urban Decay is known for their Naked eyeshadow pallets. Not only are their shadows super pigmented, you also get 12 shadows per Naked pallet (except the Naked Basics Pallet). Naked 1 is perfect for any season and eye color.
MAC lipstick is a must-have product. Not only are there tons of different shades, there are also different finishes too. They have: Matte, Retro Matte, Satin, Amplified, Cremesheen, Cremesheen Pearl, Frost and Glaze. Each have different strengths and weaknesses.
MAC Faux is the perfect lipstick if you just need to throw on some color to your lips. It's a less dramatic shade of pink and looks a little darker than a natural lip color.
Dervish Lipliner by MAC is the perfect liner to match Faux. It's a great shade to over-line your lips if that's something you're into (I do it too; no fear). What's really great about Dervish Lipliner is you can also use it as a lipstick and just throw on a clear gloss (or even Vaseline) over it. No one can tell that it's just a lipliner you used.
8. Urban Decay Luminous Highlighter
Highlighter is a brilliant product. Unlike bronzer, highlighting brings and enhances light to the places on your face that the sun naturally hits. Typically people highlight their cheekbones, foreheads, down the bridge of the nose and their cupid's bow. 9. Benefit They're Real Mascara
I'm not one to buy high-end mascara, but when I do, it's always going to be Benefit They're Real Mascara. This is the perfect mascara. Not only does it lengthen your lashes, giving them a fake lash look, it also doesn't clump. Clumping is one of the most annoying things a mascara can do, so to find one that doesn't do that is amazing.
10. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
The final high street product that is a must-have is the Anastasia Contour Kit. It's a quick and easy way to figure out the ins and outs of contouring and highlighting your face. It's been a lifesaver. The kit also comes in different shades for light, medium and dark skin tones, so you'll definitely be able to find a palette to match your skin!
These are amazing high-end products. You don't need all of these products, especially because they are quite pricey, but if you're looking for something new to punch up your back-to-school look, I highly recommend these!
