Everyone has their own opinions toward Michael Jackson, you either like him or you don't. I happen to love Michael Jackson and have always been a fan. His phenomenal career changed the lives of many people that listen to his music, 13 time Grammy winner with 13 number one U.S singles, his entertainment level and style was definitely one to see. With music ranging from songs about love, remembering to have fun, and songs reaching out to listeners to care about one another and being kind, his message is one for the ages. So, here are my favorite Michael Jackson songs of all time (in no particular order because there's no way I could decide) :

1. Man In The Mirror (1987)

"Could it be really me, pretending that they’re not alone?"

Inspiring, life changing, and truthful. This song will always be relevant.

2. The Way You Make Me Feel (1987)

"I never felt so in love before, Promise baby, you'll love me forevermore"

Fun and flirty and how could you not want to get up and dance to this?

3. Human Nature (1982)

"If they say, Why, why, tell 'em that it's human nature"

A relaxing ballad saying that its okay to be who you are, its human nature.

4. Earth Song (1995)

"Did you ever stop to notice, The crying Earth the weeping shores?"

A song that bring awareness to the condition of our environments and encouraging you to make a change.

5. They Don't Care About Us (1995)

"Beat me, hate me, You can never break me"

Catchy beat, with a very rebellious meaning.

6. Beat It (1982)

"You wanna be tough, better do what you can, So beat it, but you wanna be bad"

One of the classics.

7. Heal The World (1991)

"If you care enough for the living, Make a better place for you and for me"

Bringing awareness for a need for world peace.

8. Smooth Criminal (1987)

"Are you OK Annie?, You've been hit by, A smooth criminal"

The debut of the zero gravity dance move.

9. You Are Not Alone (1995)

"Another day has gone, I'm still all alone, How could this be, You're not here with me"

A beautiful love song for the ages.

10. Black Or White (1991)

"But if you're thinkin' about my baby, It don't matter if you're black or white"

The perfect mix of pop, rock, soul, and even a little bit of rap.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
