The results are in and fresh off the runways of this season’s fashion week are the newest fall and winter trends. The fall and winter months always seem to have the perfect weather for inventing new and creative ways to keep warm and look good doing it. Vests, boots, denim, and berry lips—the crisp autumn air and snowflake sprinkles of winter offer plenty of opportunities to experiment with your personal style. Part of the fun is taking the trends that come from the runways and making them your own. This can even lead to you starting a trend of your own just like how in the movie John Tucker Must Die, Tucker makes men’s thongs all the rage. Whether you’re a trendsetter or trend follower, here’s some help when it comes to what’s hot this season.

1. Statement Chokers

The choker trend is becoming more of a statement this season with plenty of glitz, glam, and sass to go around. You can tie your whole outfit together with a chic choker.

2. Hoodies

No doubt the most comfortable of this season's trends. Whoever said hoodies are just for lounging around the house is clearly mistaken. This trend leaves plenty of room to put your own individual twist on it.

3. Extra-Long Sleeves

If you're a fan of flowy sleeves and how long sleeve tees/tops bunch at the wrist, you're going to love this trend. Sweater, coats, jackets and dresses are all joining in on this lengthy fashion statement.

4. Pink + Yellow

This autumn and winter season is all about the 50 shades of pink and yellow. Don't be afraid of this flirty combo. Be adventurous and have fun with it!

5. Layers

Layers have always been a seasonal trend but this year is a little different. Instead of opting for vests and jackets, break out your turtlenecks and long sleeve tees to slip on under tanks and dresses for an updated layered look.

6. Lace Up

Laces are no longer just for corsets. This season, you'll see laces on shoes, tops, dresses, pants and everything in between. It will bring an edgy and flirtatious flare to any outfit you add it to.

7. Lace

Lace is not to be confused with laces. Lace is a classic. Whether a sheer overlay or an accent piece, it puts a demure classy spin on anything it touches. Lace doesn't have to mean church, don't be afraid to spice it up and take it to the streets.

8. Mesh

Another big thing you'll see a lot of this season is mesh, in its many forms. There is mesh that has a tighter weave as well as some with a looser one. Mesh can be manipulated in a way that it doesn't look like what it is. It definitely adds a unique element to an outfit and would make for a great addition to your fall/winter wardrobe.

9. High-Waist + Ankle crop

Why choose between high-waisted and ankle crop jeans when you can have the best of both? This season the two denim styles had a baby and made these lovely hybrids. They're perfect for both booties and crop tops and therefore a must have.

10. Cut-Outs

Cut-outs have been a long time trend but this season seems to have reinvented them in unique and daring ways. They come in all shapes and sizes and are perfect for teasing just a bit of skin without giving too much away.

Fall and Winter are some of the best months for fashion and often when people seem to have most fun concocting new outfit combos and experimenting with their style. Hope these trends aid in your search for the perfect addictions to your closet! Happy hunting!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
