1. "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" (September 18)
Reason why you should see it: Because Dylan O'Brien is a hottie.
2. "The Intern" (September 25)
Reason why you should see it: It's guaranteed to be a feel-good film that you can actually enjoy seeing with your parents.
3. "The Martian" (October 2)
Plot: When a mission to Mars goes wrong and astronaut, Mark Watney (Damon) gets stranded on Mars, he must learn how to live in the harsh space environment. This includes: growing food, making a shelter, and, most importantly, contacting NASA and his crew mates. After his crew receives a message that Watney is still alive, NASA and scientists all over the world must figure out how to get him home.
Reason why you should see it: Hopefully it lives up to the other space movies that have come out recently like "Gravity" (2013) and "Interstellar" (2014).
4. "Steve Jobs" (October 9)
Plot: A story about the brilliant Steve Jobs, played by Michael Fassbender, and the events that occurred during several iconic Apple product launches, starting with the Mac in 1998.
Reason why you should see it: This is going to be the movie that "Jobs" (2013) was supposed to be. Hopefully it doesn't tank as badly as that one did.
5. "Crimson Peak" (October 16)
Plot: After falling in love with Sir Thomas Sharpe (Hiddleston), aspiring author Edith Cushing (Wasikowska) moves into his collapsing, rural mansion. She quickly discovers that Sharpe is not who he says he is and is hiding a big secret. In addition, his house is filled with ghosts and other ghost-like presences that he and his sister try to hide from her. Set during the 19th century, this movie is guaranteed to make you start looking under your bed before you go to sleep at night.
Reason why you should see it: I hate horror movies. I don't know why I put this on this list. You shouldn't see this movie if you want to sleep soundly.
6. "The Peanuts Movie" (November 6)
Plot: Follow Charlie Brown and the rest of his friends, as Charlie tries to reinvent himself, gain some confidence, and win the heart of the Little-Red-Haired-Girl who just moved to town. Meanwhile, Snoopy goes up against his arch nemesis, The Red Baron.
Reason why you should see it: It's Charlie Brown and Snoopy, aka, your childhood.
7. "Spectre" (November 6)
Plot: Set after Raoul Silva's attack on MI6, James Bond (Craig) comes face-to-face with his biggest challenge yet, a nasty organization known as SPECTRE. The only way to him figure out the motives of SPECTRE is to protect Dr. Madeleine Swan (Seydoux), daughter of former enemy, Mr. White (Christensen). As he gets closer and closer to the truth, he discovers a shocking connection between him and the enemy (Waltz). Meanwhile, Gareth Mallory (Fiennes), who the newly appointed M, continues to combat political pressures that might indefinitely affect the future of MI6.
Reason why you should see it: It's James Bond and more importantly, it's Daniel Craig as James Bond. Oh, and Voldemort is in it too.
8. "Hunger Games: The Mocking Jay - Part 2" (November 20)
Plot: With Panem in an all out revolutionary war, Katniss (Lawrence) affronts President Snow (Sutherland) in one last final showdown. Teaming up with her closest friends, Peeta (Hutchinson), Gale (Hemsworth), Finnick (Claflin), and the rest of the District 13 unit embark on a mission to free the citizens of Panem and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow. In order to get to Snow, the "Girl on Fire" must navigate her way through hazardous traps, dangerous enemies and moral choices that will determine the future of rest Panem.
Reason why you should see it: It's the end of the series. Duh.
9. "Sisters" (December 18)
Plot: Sisters, and adults, Katie (Fey) and Maura (Poehler), come home for a weekend to find out their parents decided to sell their childhood home. Together, they decide to throw the house party that they never got to throw while growing up there, and of course all hell breaks loose. This movie is guaranteed to make you laugh, because the only thing that's funnier than Amy Poehler and Tina Fey together, is Amy Poehler and Tina Fey as middle-late 30-year-olds acting like teenagers.
Reason why you should see it: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey were hilarious together on SNL and in "Baby Mama" (2008), so they're bound to a great duo in Sisters.
10. "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" (December 18)
Plot: Ok, so no one really knows the plot to this movie (that's kind of the point). But here's what Wikipedia says about it: "The Force Awakens" is set approximately 30 years after the events of "Return of the Jedi" and features new leads Finn, Rey, and Poe Dameron alongside characters returning from previous "Star Wars" films." Sorry I couldn't elaborate more on this movie...
Reason why you should see it: Because its Star Wars and it's going to be f*cking epic.
