- Puffer Jackets. Ah yes, this trend is still around. Most puffer jackets just cannot be made to look attractive but an all gold puffer vest? I am all here for it.
- Tinsel. Now you might be thinking “Tinsel? Like the kind on a Christmas tree?” Not exactly. Although some major designers did have some looks like look like they could e adorned on a tree, most are very tasteful versions of this item. It could be mighty itchy though so beware.
- Statement choker necklace. Choker necklaces have always had different connotations that went along with them from the past to now. However, these bold new chokers will be hard to miss and even more necessary to purchase.
- Pinstripe suits. No this is not the type of pinstripe suit Al Capone worn, yet if you have any interviews this fall, a tasteful pinstripe suit might be the way to go!
- Hoodies. Wait….did I hear that correctly? Hoodies?! Well yes. To all of those ladies, including myself, who sometimes just want to wear a hoodie all day, this is now the latest trend this fall.
- One Shoulder shirts/dresses. Yes! These lovely one shoulder styles from the 80’s are back again to debut in the 2016 fashion world.
- Jumpers. No, no the British word for sweaters (although that is a given in the fall) but rather school-girl jumpers. Similar to the ones I wore in private school, yet with a very modern and hip twist.
- Pink & Yellow? Yes, this combination is very summery; however, many designers used pink and yellow in their Fall 2016 lines. You might be thinking of a neon pink and yellow yet it is more muted versions of these two lovely colors. The yellow is more of a mustard tone and the pink is more of a rouge pink.
- Renaissance Styles. After writing a 17-page essay fall semester on Spanish clothing throughout the past 10 centuries, I would consider myself very adept in this style of clothing. Anything from velvet, to bell sleeves, to corsets goes and I am very excited to see how commercial designers follow suit.
