Christmas is drawing near and neighborhood families have already begun hanging their lights. Thanksgiving has come to an end so it is time to crack open your old Christmas albums (or just open Spotify) and blast "Jingle Bells." I have compiled a list of my top 10 favorite Christmas songs to simplify your playlist making.
10.) "Jingle Bell Rock" - Bobby Helms || Mean Girls brought this song back, am I right? "Jingle Bell Rock" is perfect for decorating the Christmas tree or dancing to at a party!
9.) "Let It Snow" - Bing Crosby || This is one of two Bing songs on this list because there is no Christmas without Bing Crosby!
8.) "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" - Andy Williams || Everyone can belt out the lyrics to this one because it's a classic Christmas tune. Once the first flake of snow hits the ground, this song shows up on every radio station.
7.) "The Christmas Song" - Nat King Cole || Yet another classic. Light a fire, make some cocoa, turn this song up and let the nostalgia kick in.
6.) "The Christmas Shoes" - Newsong || Listen to this song and try not to cry--I dare you.
5.) "Blue Christmas" - Elvis Presley || This is another great song for decorating the tree! Make all your friends and family jealous by showing off your greatest Elvis impersonation.
4.) "I'll Be Home For Christmas" - Josh Groban || Josh Groban is one more Christmas staple. I love this version of the song because his voice is so smooth!
3.) "Santa Baby" - Eartha Kitt || Do not make the mistake of listening to the Madonna version because you will never get those minutes of your life back. Eartha is perfect and (in my opinion) has the best version of the song.
2.)"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" - Michael Bublé || His entire Christmas is album is basically on repeat at all times between December 1st through December 25th.
1.) "White Christmas" - Bing Crosby || The other Bing song on this list. This is my absolute favorite song for the holiday and it's obvious why.
I wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays!
