Everyone knows that dessert is the best meal of the day. There are so many different types of sweets to satisfy your every craving. Here are 10 of my favorite spots to get dessert in the DMV area:
1. Georgetown Cupcakes
You can't go wrong with Georgetown Cupcake's classic flavor; red velvet.
2. Paul Macarons
The pistachio and vanilla macarons are my personal flavors, but you ought to try them all.
3. Bruster's Ice Cream
Bruster's ice cream is homemade, and you can tell. It's creamy texture and rich flavor is absolutely amazing; you are bound to be going back to try every flavor.
4. Cafe Fontaine Crepes
With dinner and dessert crepes, Cafe Fontaine has got you covered for every meal.
5. Crumbs Cupcakes
A tough competitor for Georgetown Cupcake, but Crumbs is exceptional. Especially their peppermint cupcake!
6. Silver Diner Milkshakes
Silver Diner milkshakes are exceptional because not only do they give you a full shake, but they also give you whatever's left, in a huge metal container! So when you go and indulge in this sweet treat, you can be sure that you're getting every last bit.
7. Carmen's Italian Ice
With their endless flavors of Italian ice and their creamy custard, Carmen's is definitely a personal favorite.
8. Ted's Bulletin Banana Cream Pie
The banana cream pie from Ted's is easily the best pie I've ever had in my life. It is the real deal, and is not even comparable to other pies that taste straight up artificial.
9. Baked and Wired Bakedwich
Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two warm chocolate chip cookies? What else do you need in life?
10. Ice Cream Jubilee
The unique flavors of this ice cream shop are what sets it apart from everywhere else. Their ice cream is truly amazing, and it will encourage you to try something new.
