Hey — hey, you.
How many times have you thought about an idea you thought was amazing? How many times did you turn that thought into a reality? You know, there's way too much talk these days. Anyone can use 140 characters and write about all their dreams and aspirations. Anyone can answer the famous question, "Whats on your mind?" and decide that they're going to tell the world about their plans! With that being said, what are you doing about it. What are we doing about it?
Lately, there's been post after post about how bad things are. Posts about how corrupt the system is, people wanting to make America great again, so on and so forth. What's it going to take for us as a people to get out there and do something! I know, some of us more than others, will have the odds against us. Some of us will automatically feel inadequate. Some of us may even think that we're not good enough to even leave this world an ounce better. But, I'm here to tell you that it's time for you to stand up.
It's time for me to stand up. I'm not innocent in the matter. There are days where I will rant and rant about how horrible common core is, and how I can't stand the fact that one scholastic aptitude test will determine the rest of a child's future. However, I'm going to become a part of that system. I want to become a part of the inside so that I can be a part of that change. We can shout Gandhi's famous words, "Be the change you want to see in the world." Unless you are going to get up and move, don't speak. Unless you are going to go to that town meeting, or read up on that law change, don't speak. The world is far beyond the point where we can just wait for the person next to us to do something. If you possess your own mind, use it and act now! Don't let this moment pass you by. Be that change.
Stop talking about it as much as you do. Be about it.
