Everybody needs that person in college who you know has your back no matter what…Daniela was mine.
Roommates know you at a whole different level than the
average “friend.” They see you at your very best moments, and also your worst. Daniela
knew everything about me, from how my classes were going, to my nanny girls, to
the stuff going on with my family back home. She never stopped listening and
she never stopped caring. When I was having a problem, she gave me advice, the
best advice. When I was struggling with my math homework, she was always there
to help. When I was sick with the flu, she drove me to the CVS in the middle of
the night to get medicine. She was my right hand gal through everything.
But most importantly of all, she believed in me. In one of the hardest times in my life, she encouraged me even when I didn’t believe in myself. She was always positive and was there to listen. She wanted to understand. That was the beyond what I could’ve hoped for. Having someone there to validate my feelings was huge. Even though she had never gone through anything like what I was going through, she really “got it.” She “got me” to be honest. I needed that.
Daniela is one of those people who consistently puts herself
before others. She has the biggest heart and her kindness is immeasurable. I
knew just after one week of living with her that I’d found a special girl.
Thankful for our movie nights, you introducing me to One Tree Hill, the all-nighters studying, our sororities, you teaching me how to curl my hair along with Maddie G, the adventures nannying together, going through the online classes together, and everything else. You are a one-of-a-kind girl. Grateful for all of our memories in 604. Love you so much, Danyeller.
