This is for all those people who try so hard to find the best in everybody but sometimes you just have to accept that some people are not worth saving anymore. You're not giving up, though it may seem like that but you have to realize that sometimes you have to move on. It does not mean you are a bad person, but sometimes it's exhausting putting everyone first and yourself last. What genuinely is most important is your mental health and sanity. Being a young adult, there is still so much time to discover who you are and what values you want to prioritize.
There's a certain cruelty in life: having to give up on someone you tried so hard to see the best in. What's even more difficult is you get tired of trying for someone when it just is not there and may never be.
There are two people in the world, those who see the glass half full and then the others half empty. As one who tries to see the glass half full, I find myself prying and grasping on the hope that people do change. Most of the times, it's true. Yet, other times there are rare exceptions that you genuinely cannot help change someone for the better and that's what makes this lesson so difficult. You feel like it is your fault when truly it is no ones, it's just life. Life is a beautiful gift, but it's a rollercoaster and you just have to find those people that want to ride it out with you.
For these people trying to see the best in people, the society, the world, and literally everything it is a blessing and a curse. It can make the day just a bit brighter or a bit darker. I would not want it to be any other way, though. It helps create a person that the room lights up when they walk in the room. It's an admirable way of living with optimism radiating from each word that rolls out of a person. I feel like it can destroy us though because it is so devastating losing and moving on from someone you spent so much time trying to understand their motives and rationale. It's terrifying because you held on to them and the storm that they brought about with them and when then it's gone.
Moving on from all the negative people and things in life, will never happen overnight but you deserve so much better...we all do.
"she brought out the storm in people because she knew wherever there were dark skies and wild winds, lied a truth. a truth that described how much love one can leave behind the moment they accept all the pain they have lived. and that is all she ever wanted. for everyone around her to embrace their storms and make them fall in love with their violent winds."
