Each Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veterans Day we are all reminded of those who sacrifice so much to give us the freedom we have. We remember and are thankful for those who lace up their boots day in and day out to go out and face dangers that are unimaginable to us at home. We remember and are thankful for those who are away from their families and may not know when or if they will see them again as well as those who have been severely injured both physically and mentally. We also remember those who are no longer with us because they payed the ultimate sacrifice to make America the great country it is. It's great to thank and remember these people on these three days each year but it's even more important to thank them each and every day because without these brave Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen we would not be what we are.

The American military is feared. We are fierce and unstoppable because those who are fighting these wars believe in patriotism and are proud to be Americans. American's today don't seem to have the same pride in this country that they used to. Yes, a lot of things could be better but that doesn't mean we are not a great country. We need to remember these people on a daily basis and be proud to have so many brave men and women willing to risk their lives to give us freedom. Fly your flags high, thank the men and women in uniform you see on a daily basis, pray for those serving and never forgot those who gave it all.

To Those Who Served...

You tell us story's of what all you faced but we know you do not tell us the true horrors you endured because you love us too much to tell us about the real evils in this world and because there is a lot you wish to forget. You bear wounds on the inside and out but are strong because that's what American military men and women are; that's what you are. You lost close friends along the way that you will never forget. You endured the cold, extreme heat, days without adequate food, yet you trudged on to keep Americans safe. You stand proud during each National Anthem and salute the flag with honor and pride knowing what sacrifices are paid for it. Never forget that America is home of the free because of the brave; because of you.

To Those Who are Serving...

None of us can or will ever know the pain you feel each time you leave your family and have to say goodbye. We also do not know the true dangers you face. You get up each day, having slept very little the night before to fight for those of us at home. You know a very small portion of American citizens, yet you are willing to risk your life for us all. You are constantly hot, tired, and hungry but you never once question why you are doing this because you know you are doing it for those of us back home. You are in countless thoughts and prayers and deserve more gratitude than anyone can possibly give.

To Those Who Gave it All...

No amount of “thank you's,” tears or words can express the amount gratitude we all have for you. We get to wake up each day, we get to pray to God and worship him openly and we get to enjoy freedom that you know longer do; yet, we get to enjoy all of this because of you. You gave all of this up because you love this country. No man is braver than you and no man will ever be as brave as you. You are the reason we get to live the lives we do. You will never be forgotten and we will always be thankful. Each time a flag is flown it is because of you and it is for you. Each pledge of allegiance is said because of you. We have our freedom because of you and for that, we are eternally grateful.

Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. American will never forget their sacrifices.” -Harry Truman

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
