We all know that applying to internships is not a fun process. You play the networking game, spend so much time on a cover letter, schedule time for interviews and constantly revise your resume. You stay up super late to submit them and it's in the back of your head the next day. Sure, there are times that it does work in your favor! You might you get that interview and impressed the person sitting across from you. However, when it doesn't work, you feel drained and defeated. It gets you frustrated, annoyed, worried and just plain done. Getting rejected while others land an internship probably doesn't help either. As hard as it is, you just have to realize that your time is going to happen! I'm a big believer in no matter how bad it seems, everything in the end will work out.

Admittedly, for the past couple of weeks, finding an internship has been stressing me out. If you're like me, you spend hours on your computer trying to write and submit as many applications as you can. If you're like me, you have been to the Career Services too many times you lost count. If you're like me, you have to apply to at least 20 internships to hear back about an interview from maybe 2 companies. If you're like me, despite the struggle you still haven't given up. It takes a lot of mental power and will power to go through this process. It takes a lot to get that rejection and still remain optimistic. Just remember that this internship you are applying to is your passion. This internship experience is what has interested you for a long time. You want that internship experience in the field you have been studying for! For me, this is public relations, marketing and social media. So read the motivational quotes below and get you motivated to get back on that computer!

1. Don't try to send as many as you can in one day!

Plan a schedule for the whole week.

2. Don't be discouraged if it's challenging.

And don't settle for an internship that would be easy.

3. "Tough times never last, but tough people do."—Robert H. Schuller

4. Just when you think all hope is lost...

Something great will come along!

5. "Nothing is impossible. ‘Impossible’ just takes a few more phone calls."-Michael J. Fox

6. Getting rejected by an internship doesn't mean you are not smart.

It just means you were brave enough to try.

7. It's going to be tough....

But that doesn't mean you stop!

8. Don't let the drained feeling get to you.

Because you are amazing!

9. You are killing it with those apps!

Smile and be happy of how much you already accomplished!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
