To the man who has captured my heart, the one whom my soul loves. To the one who jumpstarts the beat in my chest to the shove of the crimson through my veins:
I thank the Creator for you.
I thank His design of your hands, worn down with patches and scars from constant tenacity and the strings on your guitar. From His design of your eyes which reflect hope and boldness, like a collision of infinite stars in the sky. To His design of your desires of following His truth, and spreading His love like wildfire.
I thank the Creator for you.
There are the endless dreams I cannot help but have of whether our children’s eyes will be blue, brown, or green. Dreams of our daughters and sons finding another who loves them but loves The One, just like we have done together.
Dreams of when we are seventy and you’ll whisper, “My love, you look more beautiful today,” while you sit in that rocking chair beside me.
I thank the Creator for you.
I pray over the time we have now. And that we’ll keep on running. "Somehow,” is how the world says they’ll reach their journey. “Someone,” is how we say we’ll reach He Who is Worthy.
I pray over our future footsteps, over the joy we’ll share and the agony we’ll try to forget. I pray over the tears we will wear when “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.”
I thank the Creator for you.
I thank the Creator for you:
For jumpstarting the beating in my chest and the shove of the crimson through my veins. For being whom my soul loves.
I thank God, our splendorous and perfect Creator, for you.
You,
the man who has captured my heart.
Love,
Me
Dedicated to the love of my life. I pray that we will continue to walk with the Lord and share countless times of laughter. I pray for the future He holds for us in His hands. I pray that we will always remember that through anything and everything, He is good.
