To my best friends at school,
I cannot thank you enough for being who you are each and every day. We may have our ups and downs, but at the end of the day, I know I can text you at 1 a.m. to go cheer up a friend or just to talk to you. You guys have become my backbone and for that, I cannot thank you enough. Since day one it has felt like we've known each other way longer than eight months. You're always there every step of the way; whether it's a Sunday morning and we're a little too queasy for the dining hall food (but we go decked out in grout fits and sunglasses) or it's the night before waiting in that awful line of a club. Thank you for forcing me to go to the Greek Carnival where I was miserable until I met my sorority sisters, which soon became my next best thing to home. Thank you for always being willing to stuff your faces with me so I wouldn't feel like the only one. Thank you for keeping me company while I tried to get through each day studying hours on end. Thank you for trying to always keep a smile on my face even on my worst days.
Most importantly, thank you for opening up your doors to me when I needed it the most, and never judging or questioning me. I've always felt like I was part of your dorm room even when I lived down the hall. It's a scary thought that I won't be able to troll into your room lurking for someone to hang out with every day. It's even weirder to think about not seeing you day in and day out. I know we will all still text in our group chat saying how we should all meet up but let's be honest: we can't even get all of us together for a Saturday night on the same campus, let alone having all of us together in three different states. So please don't forget to FaceTime and call me all the time. We all need to do ourselves the favor and visit each other even if it's a four-hour drive. I can't wait to see you come the last week of August when we get to all finally come together again.
xxoo,
The one you're stuck with forever
