I never realized how hard it would be to leave my underclassmen friends behind.
Senior year was a whirlwind of meeting new people and forming new friendships. None of us ever thought that we would get as close as we did in such a short amount of time, but we did. And now, as I prepare to pack my bags and head off to college, I am faced with the daunting task of saying goodbye to some of my best friends that I am unfortunately leaving behind. The memories I have with them and the lessons they have taught me will be carried with me for the rest of my life.
I consider you guys to be like younger siblings that I never got to have. I really never thought about having to leave you guys eventually. We were having way too much fun for that to ever cross my mind. There was no time for thinking, there were memories to be made!
I want to take the time to thank you guys for always listening when I complained about college applications and deadlines. You may not have been able to really relate at the time, but you guys were always there to listen and try to help me. Maybe my suffering will show you what not to do in the coming years.
Thank you for being there for me through some of the most important parts of my senior year: my last musical, prom, school dances, and so much more. It means so much to have so many amazing memories with you. Senior year was so jam packed with memories, and I'm glad I got to share most of them with you guys. I know I won't forget, but promise me you guys won't forget the roof, laughing until we cry at musical rehearsals, dysfunctional stuco meetings, NYC trips, group messages, and every other memory I cherish.
In the coming years, your lives are going to change drastically like mine is now. I want you to promise me that you are going to embrace it and soak it all in. It seems to go by so fast, and I only wish I had not wished the time away. Make as many memories as you can, and please don't forget me.
I'm only a phone call, text message, or 90 minute drive away if you ever need me. Plus I don't think my mother is going to let me go more than a couple of weeks without coming home for a visit. I love you guys with all of my heart. It's not goodbye, it's see you soon. ❤
I love you Gina, Kyler, Elise, Kathryn, Boyles, Zach, Bek, Brandan, Shayna, Trey, and the Morgans.
