To the boys who think that to cheat on their significant other only means having sex: you’re wrong. Being in a relationship with one girl, then telling another girl she is the best thing in the world, that is cheating. Honestly, if the person I was with just had sex with a random hooker, I would probably forgive them; because I know he will never talk to that girl again. But, when you start wondering if you should delete that message, you are cheating. When you open up your heart to another girl, more than you open up to your girlfriend, you are probably cheating. “If you are happy with the first person, you would never have even noticed the second person”, one phrase that haunts me to this day.
Today when I had a lovely conversation with my ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend, I realized something. For too long I blamed myself for not being good enough, but honestly, I was too good for him. Sure it took me 11 months and some days to realize it, but at least I did. Honestly, a cheater is someone that can never be truly happy. They are consistently looking for something better.
See, being cheated on was honestly the most life-altering thing that could have happened to me. Initially, I thought it was my fault, that I just wasn’t pretty enough. Or maybe it was because I have small boobs and no ass. But just thinking those thoughts, should have shown me how unhappy I was.
Cheaters, to be point blank, you mess us up. You make us feel worthless like we are pieces of shit. When really, it’s you. You are the one that is insecure, you are the one that needs help. You tell your girlfriend that you love her, then tell your side girl that she's the best girl you’ve ever met. No. Stop. Please spare me from the next ignorant thing you say.
I know I will never be the same, because of one boy that can cheat on me repeatedly, but can still make me feel love like I have never loved before. So, congrats, do you want a cookie because you just ruined all of her next relationships. Trust is something that should never be lost, and you just made her lose trust for every man she dates after you.
