Can we go back? Like, forever? I frequently ask myself how I got so lucky to travel abroad with my best friends at such a young age. When you're 17 years old standing underneath of the Eiffel Tower with some of the most important people in your life, it seems as if nothing could get better than that very moment. Regardless of how old you are or even where you go, taking a trip with the people you love is one of the greatest and most memorable experiences that everyone deserves to have!
Thank you for being as excited as I was about our trip.
For about a year, me and my friends talked about nothing else except for the fact that we were going to be in Europe together. Being excited was an understatement!
Thank you for taking such great pictures when my photography skills were weak.
C'mon, those pictures deserve to be in a magazine. I didn't bring any fancy-schmancy photograph gear except for my iPhone 4 and an old point-and-shoot camera. Needless to say, my pictures weren't the best, but you guys beautifully captured our unforgettable moments
Thank you for being so open to try new foods with me.
Although it doesn't take a whole lot of guts to try a French macaron! However, we did dive into some escargot...it was surprisingly amazing.
Thank you for helping me up when I tripped over the cobblestone and fell in the middle of Paris.
...Ugh. So embarrassing. I love you guys.
Thank you for comforting me in the big, busy cities.
Parisians know where they want to be, so watch out! That can be a bit stressful when you are trying to look at the scenery and people the locals are groaning for you to get out of their way. There were definitely some times when we held each other's hands so we wouldn't get lost. That's what friends are for!
Thank you for taking cliche vacation pictures with me.
What? We didn't pose for that at all!
Thank you for all of the fancy dinners we shared together.
Nope, that's not an Olive Garden! We were indulging in authentic French cuisine (with wine, too!). Mind you, we didn't even really like the taste of wine, we just felt extra "French" by sipping on it. Pinkies up!
Thank you for being so bold and adventurous.
We climbed the Roman ruins, got lost in cities, ordered foods that we couldn't even pronounce, and pretty much were game for about anything. Having an open mind while exploring a new place and its culture is so exciting because you have no idea what you are in for! I can always count on you guys when I am seeking an adventure.
Thank you for wanting to do it all over again!
The travel bug bit us hard, so we have already been discussing plans for our next big vacation together and I absolutely cannot wait! Thank you for all of the past and the future memories together, I wouldn't want to have shared these experiences with anyone else.
