To Myself, I Vow These Words

I vow to always make myself a priority. To fall more in love with myself every day.

I vow to always be my own best friend.

I vow to dream the biggest dreams and to make them reality.

I vow to do whatever I need to do to maintain a stable peace of mind. To take time to make my soul happy. To keep my mind, body and heart strong.

I vow to make it through whatever is thrown my way. To find light in the darkness. To appreciate the journey.

I vow to live in the moment.

I vow to never speak from a place of hate, jealousy, anger or insecurity. To be non-judgmental. To always think before I speak. To remember that everyone has his or her own demons, and everything is not always what it seems to be.

I vow to love myself as much as I want others to love me.

I vow to never settle for anything less than I deserve. To walk away from everything that no longer serves me, helps me grow, or makes me happy. To not only respect myself, but to rid of anyone in my life who does not.

I vow to laugh as if no one is watching and to love as if I’ve never been hurt before.

I vow to listen to my intuition. To use my head when making important decisions, as well as my heart. To trust my inner voice more than I trust the voices of those around me.

I vow to find comfort within myself during times of sadness, loneliness, and hopelessness.

I vow to dedicate myself to my own personal excellence. To strive to be a better version of myself today than I was yesterday. To always stretch myself beyond my comfort zone. To challenge myself.

I vow to keep my heart open to any great love that may come my way.

I vow to celebrate my own personal victories.

I vow to make peace with my past. To never allow the pain from yesterday to take away from my happiness today. To turn my wounds into wisdom, and my difficulties into opportunities. To allow life’s many challenges to make me better, not bitter.

I vow to live my life in a way that inspires others and brings out the best in them.

I vow to let go of relationships that are not meant to be.

I vow to complain less and to appreciate more.

I vow to surround myself with people who make me hungry for life, touch my soul, and nurture my heart.

I vow to learn who I am. To know my likes and dislikes. To learn what I love and what I despise. To respect myself as a person. To love myself entirely.

I vow to always be honest with myself. To appreciate my strengths, and accept my flaws.

I vow to fight for the ones I love, and to let go of the ones who do not love me in return.

I vow to speak kindly to and of myself.

I vow to let go of all blame and take full responsibility for my own life.

I vow to embrace the changes I know I need to make.

I vow to expect less of others but more of myself.

I vow to find adventure. To live my life to the fullest.

I vow to remember that every struggle I have ever been faced with has made me the person I am today. To never underestimate the reasons behind my morals, opinions, and beliefs.

I vow to consume myself with the things that I love.

I vow to give more of my time to those who are special in my life, and show them how much they mean to me.

I vow to feel more and think less.

I vow to let go of any bad habits I might be holding on to, and to walk away from anything that is holding me back.

I vow to find someone who makes me feel alive, who makes me look forward to tomorrow. I vow to love them whole-heartedly, but to remember that I am my own best friend.

I vow to let go of all the pain in my life. To only hold onto things that bring me joy.

I vow to always look for the good in people. To treat everyone with love, kindness, compassion, and appreciation.

I vow to live a life that feels right to me, not one that looks right to others.

I vow to be gentle to the young, compassionate with the old, sympathetic towards the weak, and admirable of the strong.

I vow to pick and choose my battles wisely.

I vow to always remember that I cannot control everything.

I vow to fall more in love with myself every day.

I vow to allow those I care for to be perfectly themselves. To love them for who they are and not for what I want them to be.

I vow to never give up on myself and my dreams, no matter how many times I may fall or fail.

I vow to create a sense of purpose and bring meaning into my life. To learn what I’m good at. To make a difference.

I vow to treasure each moment of each day, good or bad. To celebrate and appreciate the life I have. To live as if I were to die tomorrow, and learn as if I were to live forever.

I vow to forgive when one is not sorry so I can heal, and to accept apologies I never receive so I can let go.

I vow to honor who I truly am underneath it all. To spend less time chasing the approval of those around me.

I vow to always grow, to always change, and to always have more love for myself than anyone else will ever have for me.

I vow to always make myself a priority. To be the person who I want to be. To make my own decisions. To live my life the way I want to live it.

To love myself first.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
