It's been six years since you came into my life. Whether God had a purpose for the two of us or it was pure coincidence, we met for a reason and I hope that years from now we can still be in each other's lives. I've had best friends in my 18 years but none like you. You're very blunt and that's one of the many characteristics I admire about you. Your sarcasm and smile is contagious. Anyone is blessed to have you be a part of their life.
Although I don't know how you feel towards me personally, from my part, I can honestly say that I genuinely love you. I've never had such profound love for someone so much. I've always wanted a little sister. Who would've thought that God would bless me with someone like you? Some people are so infatuated with finding love that they don't realize that it doesn't have to be of the opposite sex, nor does it have to be through a relationship.
I'm grateful to have met you and to have made so many memories with you. I fell in love with our friendship in the six years that I've known you. I became close to you that we can comfortably talk to each other like nothing after months of not saying anything to each other. I don't think anyone can understand how much I care for you. Despite not knowing how you feel about me, I don't ever want to lose our friendship.
As the years go by, in all honesty, I feel like we may drift away from each other at some point in the years to come. I've observed how some people envy our friendship and it makes me uneasy. Things happen, but wherever God takes us, I hope we can be in each other's lives for many years to come. People can think what they want, but I've never had the opportunity to have someone I truly adore stick around for so long. Of all the “best friends” I've had, you've never turned your back on me.
I've learned so much from you through the course of our friendship. We've had our ups and downs but we always come through. Although you aren't my biological sister, I wouldn't have it any other way. As for the future, I don't know what God has planned for us, but I hope we can still be in each other's life and have the opportunity to do the things we want, together. I want to be able to see you grow into the person God wants you to be. I want to be there when you're feeling down or when you're feeling content. I want to be there in your worse and your better days.
In all honesty, I believe people can find love in their best friend. I'm not talking about the relationship type of love. I'm talking about the genuine, kindhearted, friendship type of love. I think God gave me something better than a boyfriend. God gave me a sister and a best friend, all in one. I wouldn't have it any other way. If at some point something were to ever occur that breaks our friendship, remember that I'll always be here for you and I'll always wish nothing but the best for you.
