Dear Best Friend from High School --

Hi, its me, your best friend from high school, the one you did absolutely everything with. I miss you, and sometimes I wish we were still in high school so I got to see you everyday. Leaving for college was the best and the saddest time for me, and I am sure it wasn't always easy for you either.

The person that I had been best friends with since we were three years old, was going to a different school than me for the first time ever. We were no longer going to be in the same hallway, have lockers right next to each other, or even have the exact same class schedule and I wasn't completely ready for that. I know no matter what you will always be my best friend, just as I will be yours, and for that I am forever thankful.

I am so glad you found your home, and that I found mine even though they aren't together or even close for that matter. But as I sit back and think we are two completely different people that want two completely different things in life but yet we are still so close its amazing. Even with being 132 miles apart it still feels like we are ten minutes apart when we talk. I know that if something ever happens and I need you by my side, that in about 2 hours you will be there depending on how fast the person in front of you is going.

While we have been at separate schools we have both found some new friends, that treat us like they have known us forever. I am so thankful your new friends take great care of you, and are always down for something whenever you want to go out. Also, I am thankful that they like Chinese food and ice cream as much as you do! If I had to do everything all over again from the day we met, I wouldn't change a single thing not even us going to different Universities, simply because I have the best best friend in the world and only a couple other people can say that about you.

From having different teachers all the way up until middle school, to playing softball together since we were 5, from sleep overs trying to stay up until 12 but actually falling asleep at like 9:30, to hating the other girls from the teams we were playing, to doing absolutely everything together I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to do these with. You are my best friend and you always will be no matter what...even when you get to go explore Spain for 6 months and I am stuck in freaking Ohio.

Just know that wherever you go in life, I will always be with you. It might not be in person, but it will definitely be in heart. I will always be here whenever you need to vent, whenever you need to get away, whenever you want to go to the beach, whenever you want to do anything. You will always be my go to and the one person that I will always call my best friend.

I love you so much,

Your high school best friend.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
