Congrats sis!

Your big day is here. I hope your nerves aren't too bad yet. I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle, and how beautiful you are going to look.

I just want to take this time to tell you how happy and excited I am for you. I still can't believe my big sister is finally getting married. I hope this day is everything you wished it would be. I hope you feel the little flutter of butterflies as you get your hair and makeup done. I hope that you are filled with joy and excitement when you are about to walk down the aisle.

I know that your new husband will make you happy. I've seen how he can change your mood over the past four or five years. Yeah, you guys have your spats, but who doesn't? I am so happy that you have found someone to make you happy, to protect you, and to be the one you can count on when your little sister isn't around. And just make sure he knows that if anything happens to you, I will completely kick his butt. Little sisters don't play.

I can't wait to see the life you two will have together. The places you will go, the homes you will make together, the little nieces and nephews I will have running around. I mean, come on, they will be some pretty cute kids.

The bond between sisters is something so special and so hard to articulate, but it's real. It's when your happiness isn't just your happiness, but dependent on someone else. You having someone to love and take care of you makes me happy. Seeing you smile on your wedding day, and take your first dance as husband and wife, will make me as happy as a person can be.

Some time has passed since I started this article, and your special day has come and gone.

You looked amazing in your dress, so happy and always smiling. I tried my best not to tear up as you said "I do." Your wedding was wonderful, and I hope it was all you wanted and more.
