Since it's thanksgiving I'd like to give a shout out to a women I want to thank the most. My mom has been my rock and my motivator. She had me at a young age and instead of giving up, she finished college and became a teacher. She has always pushed me to be the best student I could ever be.
I know that times have gotten hard for my little family of three but no matter what you held us together. You would always keep smiling and working as hard as you could. You rarely asked for help and you would always find time for me.
You have been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I want to thank you for staying up late and gossiping with me even though you probably had to be up early the next day. I want to thank you for always believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself.
In my senior year you went to every single speech competition i did (well over 20) and didn't complain once. For anyone that doesn't understand what a speech competition consists of, you wake up at 4:45 to get to the bus at 5 and drive for about 2 hours. Thank you for going to all of them even though you never actually had to.
Thank you for trying to steer me away from teaching. We both know that you were never going to stop me from becoming an education major because it was in my blood, but you still tried. You wanted a better life for me than what you had but I don't think i'd be happy in any other major.
To end this I just want to say thank you mom for everything you've ever done for me. You have been my best friend for eighteen years and I couldn't ask for a better best friend. I love you mom, so much.
