Dear Little,
We have tried to put it out of our minds and act like it wasn't going to happen, but this day has finally crept up on us. While I may be graduating, don't for one second think you're losing me.
No, I won't be able to have lunch dates as often, and no, I won't be in the library waiting for you everyday. I also unfortunately won't be just upstairs from your apartment anymore. It breaks my heart knowing these things will soon be a harsh reality but don't stress too much; you're stuck with me forever.
I want you to know that you have given me something in college that I never imagined finding. I remember the day I first met you and I knew right in that moment you were going to be mine. You were everything I could have hoped for in a little. Yes, I have best friends and family of my own, but our relationship has always been different.

It is always mind blowing to me how we became so close in a matter of two years. You and I are the same person in every aspect of our being. People who don't even know us have asked us if we are sisters and it is not surprising in the least bit. We laugh the same, talk the same, like the same boys and have more in common than anyone else I have ever known.
You are one incredible human being, and I mean that with my whole heart. I can't imagine my last two college years without you in them. No, I won't be here for your last two years, but there is so much you have to look forward to. Your 21st birthday, experiencing your many leadership roles, meeting more people and soon, getting a little of your very own.
Just as I did, you will take her under your wing, tell her what fraternities are the best, where to get the best food on campus, help her when she throws up from too much beer and feed her spaghetti on your bedroom floor whether you remember it happened or not. You'll share crazy stories, comfort each other when in pain and threaten to beat up any boy that breaks her heart.
I'm leaving college, but I'm sure as hell not leaving you. You are my forever little, best friend and companion. You will do amazing things these next two years of college as well as the years to follow, I assure you. I wish I was going to be standing next to you through it all but I will still be there, just through a text message or phone call.
I cannot wait to see all the things you accomplish. You are the most precious person, and it is an honor to get to call you my little. Thank you for everything you have ever been and done. I will be visiting often so be sure to clear a space on your couch. I love you so much and there aren't even words to describe how much I will truly miss you.
Love, Your Big
