Thank you for not only meeting the expectations for a Speech coach, but rising above average and doing more for the program than we could have ever anticipated. The amount of time, energy, and support you invested into each and every one of your students individually strengthened our school’s Speech program. Our successes reflected your determination and belief in us.
Thank you for empowering me and believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. You enabled me with the necessary resources to reach my absolute best and gave me the power to lead, excel, dream and succeed. Because of your empowerment and belief in my abilities, I achieved a higher level of success that I didn’t know I was capable of.
Thank you for contributing to my self-confidence. When you believed in me, I believed in myself; and when I believed in myself, I found self-confidence that had previously been nonexistent. Every time I was encouraged by you, every time I took the stage and performed and every time I received a high rating from the judges, my self-confidence grew and I owe a huge part of that to you.
Thank you for giving me a place to belong. Middle school was a very rough period in my life and going into high school, I figured it would be an even more strenuous obstacle course trying to find a place to fit in. I was right, until I found the Speech program. Speech provided me an opportunity to be accepted and express myself without having to change who I was as a person and a lot of that was due to the values you modeled as the Speech coach.
Thank you for having a positive impact on my life. Each one of us has the ability to take any path we want and you chose the path as an educator. Along the way, you also made the choice to invest your talent and character into being a Speech coach. Every choice has consequences, but the only consequence your choice resulted in is positively impacting the lives of many kids who needed exactly what you had to offer: someone who could empower, accept, encourage and inspire them.
