Every single piece of college has lead up to this moment. The tears, laughter, stress, fun, sleepless nights, etc. have all been small pieces making up your college career and ultimately leading you to graduation.
YOU DID IT!
Every night that you contemplated giving up, every time you changed your major or thought about changing your major and every time you thought about choosing a different path has all been worth it. I've never once lost faith in your abilities, even though there have been times that you have. Know that I will always be cheering you on, I will always be here for you and I will always remember our times in college together.
Not only will I miss you, I'll miss us. I'll miss our adventures, story times, late night food outings, crazy nights downtown and every single moment we've shared.
I know I've begged for you not to go, but I know you must.
Please, leave me. Go out into the real world and discover yourself. Go live out your dreams, travel, explore and leave college behind. College doesn't have to be the best four years (or more) of your life. Go make post-grad life amazing! I know you can.
You're going to have so much fun in post-grad life. With more fun, will come more stress, more work and some struggle. Remember, you are prepared. You have spent the whole night studying for a huge test and aced it the next day. You have juggled a social life, work and school. You have partied into the late night hours and then made it to an important event the next day. You have stressed to the point where you don't even know what to do anymore, but still somehow managed to go on. You have so many experiences from your short time at college and they will help you through every step of your life.
As time goes on, your memories from college will begin to fade. College will seem like a blur in a few years, just like high school seems like a blur now and that's OK.
Just remember you've made your mark on every single person you've encountered in college, and for that I am forever grateful. You have shown me not only good times, but your courage and strength. You might not see it now, but I have learned a great amount from you. You have set an example, and now I look up to you (whether you believe it or not). You made it, you succeeded and I know you can achieve your goals in life.
Here it is - your time to leave the city our college community has built together, our home. It seems scary but YOU GOT THIS!
You'll make new memories, new friends and have new experiences. Now is your time, so get excited!
Congratulations graduate!!!
Love Always,
Your college friend
