To my best friend at a different college,
I can't think of a milestone in our lives that we didn't spend together. From our first day of high school, to our last day of high school, and everything in between I could always count on you to be my familiar face in the crowd. Now we are hundreds of miles away from each other, and there isn't a day that I don't think about you.
It's hard making new memories without you, and it's harder to think about you making new memories without me. Of course, I am happy you are making friends and figuring out where you belong, but not being with you during this important time in our lives just doesn't feel right.
I talk about you all the time. It's hard not to bring up that time we won tickets to see our favorite band when my roommates and I are listening to music. Your name comes up in conversation on a daily basis, and I never run out of stories to tell.
I am so proud of everything you are doing. I love hearing about you pursuing your dreams, joining clubs you are interested in, and trying out for teams. It makes me happy to hear you happy.
You will always be my best friend. No distance can change the way you make me laugh, the unconditional support you provide me with, and the way you make me feel like I belong. While the next four years are going to be filled with long text messages and phone calls, I'll be looking forward to any amount of time we can spend together.
From,
Your best friend at a different college
