Dear Little Bit,
You’re probably going through recruitment right now trying to make it through the rest of the day in your wedges while trying to get through this lovely Georgia weather. I went through the same thing and trust me, it was all worth it at the end. Having a second family in college is what will get you through the good times, the bad times, and everything in between. We may meet at Open Rounds, or Bid Day, or at our first sisterhood event. Just know that I can’t wait to have you in my family.
The best thing other than getting a Bid is getting a Big. I’m going to let you in on a secret- I’ll be your best and worst influence. I’ll be the one that drags your butt out of bed to go shopping in Atlanta. I’m always calling you to make sure you’re in class and on time. I’ll always be there to go on lunch dates to Cookout every week. And go to Zumba with you to shed off the pounds afterwards. My closet is your closet whenever you can't find anything to wear, as long as you bring stuff back in one piece. I'll be your Netflix Binge Buddy when you want to watch Grey's or One Tree Hill. I promise to always buy you food when you're broke, unless I'm broke, then we have to resort to East Commons.
I’ll stay up with you to help you study for your chemistry final and you’ll always have a spot in my bed to sleep at the house. Your Grand-Big and Aunts will spoil you for your birthdays and we'll go on spontaneous road-trips together. When you need a date for formal, I'm your go-to matchmaker. When some frat guy is messing with you, I got your back and will not hesitant kicking his butt.
But most importantly, you’re going to basically be my first kid. I will be your motivator, your cheerleader, your go-to, your confidant. Your guide on campus, your dance partner, and your therapist. The college years are going to be hard but the way you get through them is having amazing people by your side to hold your hand along the way. I love you so much already and I can’t wait to share so many memories with you.
