I like to consider myself a very blessed individual.
I never go without a meal, I always have a roof over my head and I have the most supportive family ever. Despite all of that, I probably wouldn't be where I am today without the love of my friends. They are one of the few constants I've ever had in my life, and I love them dearly.
This is an open letter to them–my friends. This is everything I've ever wanted to say, but never did.

It may be something so simple, but it means so much to me. From boy problems to whatever I had for dinner, I know I can count on you to be there to listen. Most of the time, I don't even want or need you to say anything (but I know you will). Thank you for listening to me complain, and for whining along with me. Thank you for listening to me brag, and for you to rejoice and be excited with me. Just knowing you're taking time out of whatever you were doing to listen to me tell you about my life means a lot to me.
Thank you for making me laugh.
On my worst days, I know I can count on you to make me smile. Most of the time, you're the only person I want to be with when I'm upset or sad or hurting or mad. Just being with you instantly makes me happier. Thank you for always knowing what to say and when to say it.
Thank you for being my partner in crime.
No matter what crazy idea either of us have, I know you'll be by my side no matter what. We have always a good time no matter what we do. Honestly, we have just as much fun doing homework together as we would at a party. Thank you for making sure I stay young as long as possible.

If I'm having a bad day, I know who to call. Whether it's buying me ice cream, leaving a sweet note, surprising me with dinner, or sending a sweet text when I'm upset, it's the little things that show me how much you care. Just thank you for being thoughtful.

Thank you for loving me.
Looking back on my life, I see all the people who have come and gone at one time or another. I'm thankful you stayed. And if you just showed up recently, I'm thankful we've found each other or that we've reconnected. I'm thankful our paths crossed, no matter where or how we found each other.
I never tell you enough how truly grateful I am for you. So thank you.
