It's been a year now and I've wanted to write this article for so long. I decided now that it would be the perfect time to do so. So, here is to my boyfriends family, thank you.

First off, thank you for everything you do and have done to make him the amazing man he is today. Without you, he wouldn't be who he is which is an amazing, sweet, caring, and understanding man. He's patient and kind and always sticks by my side and helps me push through whatever is going on in my life.

Thank you for welcoming me in and treating me like I am family.

From the minute I was introduced, you welcomed me with open arms. For that, I truly thank you. As you guys know, I'm a very shy person and it wasn't at all easy for me to meet my boyfriend's parents. I wanted to make a good impression, your opinion is extremely important to me. Never once have I ever felt unwelcomed nor out of place. I feel right at home, I feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be. And for that, I can't thank you enough.

Thank you for welcoming me into your home.

For allowing me to take showers, make food, sleepover; and even help watch the puppies for you when you're out of town. It means a lot that you opened your home to me. I know I still act anxious when going to use your shower or make food, but I swear that will go away and I appreciate the reinforcement that it's okay.

Thank you for allowing me to vent and talk to you.

About anything. About my anxiety and allowing me to be comfortable with you. It means a lot that you guys actually take the time to listen and even give me advice on things. You treat me like I'm your own and it means the entire world and more to me.

Thank you for including me in special events and moments.

It means so much when you ask me to come to an event and are enthusiastic about it. It makes me feel good to know that you all welcome me at family events. I hope you know that I do love coming to them and spending time with you all.

I really appreciate all you have done and for always making me feel like I am apart of the family. You are a second family to me and that is the most amazing feeling in the world. I can always rely on you I can come to you with anything and you will help me just like you would help your own child and that's something you can't find every day and I am truly blessed that I have you.

Thank you for supporting me and encouraging me.

You guys are so quick to offer support and show excitement when something new and exciting happens to me and I love it. It truly makes me feel good.

I don't think this article can truly express how thankful I am for you and how much I appreciate everything that you do.
