We must remember our place.

What does it mean to be needed? You are needed when someone or something needs service, attention, or love from you. When people depend on you, they count on you every day or every time it's necessary. Going to work when you're scheduled to is very important. Not only do your guests count on you, but so do your coworkers. Whether you're serving food or providing everyday care for patients, you are needed in one way or another.

There will always be days when you do not want to go to work, whether you had a bad day or you aren't feeling well. When considering not going to work, first consider your health and how bad your condition is, and if it's bad, then take care of yourself. However, if your condition is not that bad, consider other people, the ones who need you to take care of them and make sure they are comfortable. Believe me, I've been there. There have been four nights I have worked and didn't want to go to work but I have patients who depend on me and need me and that alone makes it worth it.

Going to work to see my patients makes me happy, even if I haven't had the best day. They may say something that I find humorous or perhaps just seeing them in general makes me smile, but I love them so much and that is why I go to work. I know how important it is for me to go to work; my duties are very important to others' health and happiness. I look forward to talking with my loves, and they make my job very enjoyable. It's so easy to become attached, but I truly do love them just as I love my family. After all, I do spend many nights taking care of them. How could I not grow to love their spunky personalities?

The feeling of being needed is honestly one of the best feelings in the world. It makes you feel so loved and cared for. I know I'm cared for by many others but the feeling of someone depending on me makes me feel so very important and very proud of what I do. Taking care of people is something I love to do. I couldn't imagine my life without my patients because of how much they mean to me. There are the downsides, like when people become sick or deathly ill, but I always cherish the moments I am able to spend with them and this alone means everything to me.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
